For the sake of argument, what's the axe made out of?

I agree with this question. Also, do I have a high enough attack level to wield the battleaxe?

Meh, I worded it wrong I guess. I just bet I wouldn't be any good at axe fighting, so I'd prefer to run.

Well, it depends on what the axe is like. If the axe is similar to one I'm familiar using, then I would easily defeat it. If the axe is much larger(or smaller) I would have difficulties landing blows.
