Your Hours Played

I remember when they added the hours played per game to Civ3. The first time I saw that number pop up, I was like, "Oh, my God, I'm a total loser for squandering so many hours on one game of Civ."

Now Steam is nice enough to tell me how many hours I have wasted during my entire CiV career. What's even sadder is that it's no deterrent to further play.

So, what's your number?

My shameful total is 583.

Think ~150 hours, give or take 15. I try to avoid noticing the hours, it's sort of scary to think about. Oh well, there's those people that have like 18+ days logged on CoD: BO (including some friends of mine sadly enough) so I guess I can at least think about that...

Edit: 159 to be exact. And about to go up another hour.

I'm at 2,683 but I'm between contracts and I like to "twiddle" stuff on marathon games. That will eat up your time.

I know. I'm seeing some people on these threads say "I hate this game, I got bored after 100 hours." Seeing what some people are saying here, I'm not sure if I'm qualified to be a fanatic

Guys, I'm between contracts. I made enough on the last one that I'm not in a rush to go back to the grind yet. You don't want to spend this much time on a game, it's obsessive-compulsive behavior, it's a character flaw.

Plus, I'm also pretty sure Steam counts the time we spend sipping beer as "playing" time.

The number is pretty meaningless for me--lots of times I leave the game running and go watch a movie with my wife, answer emails, take meals, etc. I'm at 1049 but I'm sure a good fourth of that doesn't count (if not more).

Ummm...let me get this straight.

Civilization 5 was released 248 days ago. Well, as of May 28th that is.

If you have played 2,683 hours, then that averages out to 10.81 hours a day.

1067 hours. I have no idea how much of that is multi-tasking with life as the game counts seconds. I was wondering if it was extreme. Seeing these responses, I guess it is extreme, but not the most extreme and I can take from that some small comfort that I am not the most obsessed. Not quite.
