Here's a thread about the most insignificant feature of Civ3: the palace view! I would like to know how you upgrade your palace. Do you pick your items only from your own culture group? Do you mix it?

I choose my palace upgrades from the culture group of the last civ I conquered. The're gone because I assimilated them, but their culture will live on carved into the architecture of my palace ... maybe  ? :)

I love it.. even modded it a bit :)

i just randomly choose.. depending on my taste at the time

Hi!

I generally try to stick to my civs culture when choosing palace upgrades , but i just love those 4 greek statues , so i take them every time.

Love them, too! They are very beautiful and do fine with almost any setup. :)

Why Asia? Do you come from Asia?

Not from Asia, but Asian.

usually, i stick with my current culture group. but one time i accidedntly mixed native american with greco-roman and it came out ok.

ps: the americans should be mediterranean. all of our "old" (nowhere near as old as the rest of the world) buildings were built based on greek and roman architecture. but, we could even be european. the native american thing just oesn't work...

also, zulu's as middle east is ridiculous. but nothing else really fits either...

i like to use the architechture for the culture i'm playing as. no mixing styles for me. :nono:

It's been so long since I played standard rules that I don't even remember what it looks like any more.
