"Zoom to City" as default?

I've had Civ2 installed on my home computer for ages. And when I play Civ2 on my home computer, whenever a city builds something and I get the announcement "Sparta builds Temple" or whatever, "Zoom to city" is the default option.

I recently installed Civ2 on another computer and patched it up to 2.42. But whenever I play Civ2 on the new computer, "Continue" is the default option on the "So-and-so builds such-and-such" box.

How can I switch it so that "Zoom to City" is the default option?

From the game screen, select game on the task bar, than select city report options. The last item on the city report options determines if default to city is selected or not.

The last entry under "City Report Options" for me is "Warn when changing production will cost shields."

Please note what version you are referring to, guys...

I'm looking at City Options in my Classic/2.42 version and it has "Zoom-to-city NOT default action" as the last choice below "Warn when changing production..."

I'm wondering if the new set-up in question may not be patched up to 2.42. I thought the Zoom to city option was in both 2.42 and MPG/MGE.

Welp.

I know that I don't have MGE. Only have the original Civ2 CD. Never bought any of the expansions.

And yet, there it is, on my home computer. "Zoom-to-city NOT default action"

What this tells me is: I forgot to patch the Civ2 on my other computer.
