I'm ready to go, so let us begin. My new e-mail is listed, if you didn't get my message.

Willem - you need to buy it. It can't be provided. As its probably no longer sold anywhere on earth except the US, I got mine through some website just a few months ago.

Chris - I will mail you the latest version now and play from home for the time being as its a very long weekend (fri, sat, sun, mon). There is still a slight bug as the Neutrals and Independents have two FW190Ds each at the begining but that shouldn't have any material impact. Just start the game and mail it to my netvigator address.

Affirmative, Kob.

Hmm. I think someone can provide me with it; I downloaded Fantastic Worlds somewhere, after somebody else uploaded it. I remember Håkan Eriksson downloading MGE.

I wanted to ask you this for a long time; why did you choose to use Rudolf Hess, and not Adolf Hitler?

Concordia res parvae cres****.

Well everyone agrees that Hitler made lots of stupid mistakes (which are mentioned in the other two threads) so I conviniently killed him off so that the war could follow a different path and overide people's preconceptions of what should take place in a WWII scenario. Hopefully people will not ask questions like:

Why isn't there a D-Day?
Why can the Axis attack Italy before France?
Why are the Allies attacking the Soviets instead of helping them?
Why are the Spanish building Spitfires and T-34s
.........and so on.

Where is the German army? You will find out, HeHeHe...

I forgot to mention that I liked that little music ditty when I took Liege. Nice Touch. Poland is history, and I have a strong bridgehead in France, but the low countries are holding out. I bet the Brits miss that battlegroup that ventured to close to the coast.

I strongly recomened to all to play this scenario against a friend. It is a lot of fun.

The Sovjets (that's me) are overrunning the Axis! After tuirns of preparations, preparations and preparations, in which every city got AA Network, Coastal Defence and City Fortification plus at least one tank as defence (only near the front). I decided to conquer Turkey, Greece and Yugoslavia first as well, so I did that.

Bulgaria is now in Sovjet hands, Belgrado has been taken by the Germans, Poland is mine, Rumania is mine, Bucharest will be conquered soon, and my troops are fighting to conquer Berlin (I already took Stettin and Poznan). Oh yeah! And all those darn Allies do is bomb Amsterdam, Caen and Emden.

I decided to download the sounds as well. They are an important part of the game, and I've seen that they're not that large, so...

One thing:

The people in Belgium are called BelgIANS not Belgiums.

Willem, the sound zip is not the sounds. It is only the music. The sounds are contained in the main game zip. What I sent you was the main game zip stripped of the sounds. If you want, I'll just e-mail you the sound folder without the music.

p.s. where is the word 'belgiums'? In the readme or the events?

Chris,

Children should be seen and not heard.

U-boats should be heard and not seen.

Now your U-boats can neither be heard nor seen.

You should have tried to make a dash for the Atlantic under fighter cover. When they are herded in an enclosed body of water like the E-Channel and N-Sea, the're sitting ducks.

I think costal command will find that some of it's wimpys are missing.
wink.gif
Also, u-boats are like roaches, step on some, and others get away. BTW, what exactly was on that transport in the middle of the english channel? The one with four units, that now is at the bottom of the Atlantic.

The convoy message works fine. The low countries have fallen, and the Nazis are advancing in France.

For some reason, the Royal Navy went on holiday off the coast of Holland without aircover. I hope they enjoy exploring the bottom of the North Sea.

Paris has fallen, and the Magiot line is history.

'Belgiums' is written in the events.txt, I think I saw it twice (in two different events)

Yes, three battle groups. There was a little trick there, I don't know if you caught it. One of the BGs was sunk by a nazi BG that was inside the city, and then a Bf-109 was sent as top cover for it. It took a destroyed He-111 and a Stuka for another, and the for the last one, a heavily damaged Stuka. This aspect is quite realistic. The Royal Navy very much feared that they would lose ships without aircover, just as those in the game suffered.
