    News: TSG60 Announcement

One note that I discovered: Mountains are crossed with a movement of one and the auto move doesn't take into account the damage. I lost 1/2 my army in a single turn with the auto path moving everyone into a mountain range to cross a large expanse of hills/mountains.

I was a coward, I hid my early cities behind my cap. One interesting thing is that Spain is ignoring my new city by the river and marching to the cap instead. My cb are in a shooting gallery.

Lots of pantheon choices: sea, stone circles, plantations, even lots of jungle tiles... Hoping for a close by faith cs. Do you think an elephant rush is even feasible?

    TSG 59 Opening Actions

I actually kept something like notes this time: 2: Spotted that lovely floodplain, but decided to settle on the silver. 3: Started Mining, AH from hut. 8: 20 culture - started Liberty. 10: Started Pottery 11: Masonry from hut. 18: Sold Silver, Purchased Shrine (probably my big mistake - they...

You are correct, I was just looking at the shape. I think I will explore the lake for the river and look for some nice marsh or floodplains to build a science city. There won't be any hidden resources, but it is a good start. Stone circles, papal primacy seem likely religious choices.

After that diety challenge, this should be a bit simpler. I bet that is a lake, not a sea. I think silver for a starting location, stone circles for faith and scouts to find those cs.

100, I have juet picked up Stonehenge and have collected most of the others. The +15% makes a huge difference. I need science and military. Second city is in Hiawatha's lap and he doesn't like that. 8 policies so far, split between liberty, tradition and piety.

    News: TSG58 Announcement

I am debating between the + culture pantheons or the 15% discount on wonders. Since I want gl, oracle, petra and terracottta army it might be the best move. The time savings should be very significant. The only real downside is the time delay for camps before selling lux.

I might cross the river to get the mt. in my second ring. I will look for a chance to pull a Yoinks! achievement, marry a cs with 15 units. I might try a liberty tradition opener for culture. Last time I did and racked up lots of culture that way.
