I have never used a Civ IV mod before and just downloaded one. Could someone please tell me what I'm supposed to do with it now? It's a zip file (that I unzipped) and I have BTS.
Thank you.

And the lightbulb just goes off.... I need to try to find my brain because it apparently wandered off somewhere. :crazyeye:
Someone had already built the Manhattan Project so of course I wasn't able to. And since I had no Aluminum I couldn't build weapons. :hammer2:
Thanks again to everyone.
Although perhaps it doesn't matter because even if I could build the Manhattan Project it wouldn't do me any good. Further research shows that any missile that can be built requires aluminum, and while I have plenty of Uranium, I don't have any aluminum.
Thank you for your assistance. I...
None of my cities can build the Manhattan Project and all are connected to my 3 sources of Uranium. No-one else has built it yet since I can't build nuclear weapons. I'm very confused.
In my current game I would like to build Nuclear weapons. According to the Civilopedia all I need is Fission and Uranium in order to build the Manhattan Project. I have both but am still unable to build it. I have seen discussions here that mention needing aluminum also but that is not...
I see this all the time - lots of prime, unclaimed land in the modern era (not just tundra and desert).
I typically play on warlord or prince and on Huge Pangea maps. Perhaps it is related to lower difficulty levels of play.
Thanks everyone. I think I'll try Egypt my next game. So far in my current game I'm managing to hang in there playing as Caesar on Prince. Prince is actually a step up for me - I've been playing on warlord but find it to be to easy. (While in Civ III I couldn't manage anything harder than...
I was wondering people's opinion of the best Civ to play as if you are a peaceful player.
In Civ III I usually played as Babylon but for Civ V I haven't found one I prefer yet. I seem to get poor results when I play as Montezuma or Caesar though. I have not yet purchased the Babylon or Korea...
Unpatched Civ 4 runs quite well on my computer, the only real problem I have is occasional CTD's while playing huge maps. (Thank Firaxis for autosave :) )
After I installed the patch I didn't notice any difference, but once I got to the 1600's (huge map) my framerate slowed way down, movement...
I installed the patch earlier today and have spent most of the day playing civ.
I have yet to find any Barbarian cities where before the patch I would find them quite frequently.
Has anyone else noticed this or is this perhaps a problem with the map type I am playing on (Highlands, huge map)?
I also recieved a crc error from the patch I downloaded from civfanatics.
I deleted it and re-downloaded from FileFront and had no problems with the installation.
In my most recent game I recieved a settler while playing on warlord difficulty.
It was a huge, great plains map too. The settler appeared all the way accross the map from the rest of my nation  . It was either take 40 turns to cross the map with it or settle where it was.
On two separate occasions I have had units fortified in a city as the sole defense of the city (it's fairly early in the game and I havn't had a chance to build more defenders). Barbarians will enter my land and the units will automatically attack the invaders, leaving the city defenceless.(and...
I just picked up a pre-sell version at the Gamestop on Everett Mall Way in Everett, WA. :goodjob: I had ordered one from Amazon (which I have now cancelled).
It looks great. Now I have to get offline so I can install it and play.:D
