Rant: What have you done to my postcount?

Lyric from song I have been practicing that coincidentally applies:

Spoiler :
Walk with me Lord, walk with me
Walk with me Lord, walk with me
While I'm on this
Tedious journey
I want you Lord
To walk with me

I never thought of you as the type of person who'd go Kumbaya on us, Tim.

:assimilate:

All your postcounts are belong to us.

I am just as disappointed as Lohrenswald is that he didn't get thread #69

That's dreadfully annoying. And it's happened to me.

If it's just a cosmetic dent, I tend to leave it un-repaired. Especially if I intend keeping the vehicle for its natural life. I like to imagine that cosmetic dents discourage thieves.

Still, if it's a brand new car (something I've never owned), I'd probably have it repaired.

This thread is awful.

It's supposed to be awful.

(that said, I don't wish ill on anyone who talks about their problems and annoyances here)

I was one post off starting the new Rants thread?? Raaarr!

You didn't even write the number as 69
You imbecile, you moron

This is not nice

Well, I beg to differ. LXIX says exactly LXIX. And nothing else.

It's neither LXIIX, which is one less. Nor is it LXX, which is one more.

It really does have to be LXIX.

It is just a cosmetic dent, on a used 2010 Hyundai Elantra.

The only problem my mechanic could find with the vehicle when he inspected it was a nail piercing the back right tire. They told me they would replace that tire before I bought it, but instead only patched it. They did not seem to have patched it very well either, as it was going flat again. The electric tire pump we had at home did not seem to work at all, and our hand pump (which works well on bike tires) did not seem up for the job.

I need me to drive my employer's truck (a converted u-Haul) to a work site anyway yesterday, so I left my car at the office (a mile and half from home) from 8 am to 5 pm. On the way home I stopped by Walmart to get a new tire pump, but left without buying anything once I realized that the dealer was still open for another half hour and might fix the issue for free if I complained. I had to wait around their office for 15+ minutes to get their attention, but they readily agreed to take me to the local tire shop they had used and have the tire replaced with a brand new one free of charge.

I did not notice the dent until leaving the dealer to drive to the tire shop. I don't know if the dent happened in the parking lot at work, at Walmart, or at the dealership.

I just realized that I may be personally responsible for it. The dent in on the lower corner of the left side of the bumper, lower than most other cars that could hit it would be, but at about the height of the little step at the rear of the truck. I don't recall feeling like I bumped into anything, but I did have to back up very close to my car to maneuver the truck out of an unusually crowded parking lot yesterday morning.

There are also some new scratches on the opposite side of the bumper too though, which I definitely did not cause. The vehicle looked pristine when I chose it.

My mother just can't stop being emotional abusive from time to time. And not even understand that she is doing it.

Sometimes I can't even remember why I've never blown my brains out.
