What makes you think it could be fake? It's completely in line with the current Russian madness.
it's caricatural of that state of mind. and something that could be shown to some uniformed people defending Russia and not realizing what they are defending.

An analysis of the funny propaganda poster for the Russian victory day:

I would also add that the bomb launched by the su-27 in the poster hits the pentagon in the central courtyard making not important damage to the building. So even in their fantasies the Russians fail...

Looks more to me like a trailer for a computer game.

That courtyard contains the underground shaft holding Liberty Prime.

Well, fresh geolocalized footage about this Victory Day offensive show Russian spearhead troops didn't even reach Ukrainian border before being slaughtered.

There even some videos about Russian soldiers commiting suicide along theirs burnt vehicles. Apparently couldn't handle so much winning.

Today casualties report seems to reflect this offensive:

Which is consistent with the Russian government's messaging to its own population that none of this is really real, happening here and now and really happening to them as well. The irreality-feeling is feature rather than a bug. The Russian Orthodox Church is doing its part by doubling down on the message that Russia is literally fighting Satanic forces.

Satellite Images Reveal Where Russian Nukes Could Be Stored in Belarus

A New York Times analysis shows security upgrades unique to Russian nuclear storage facilities at a Cold War-era munitions depot.

These new security features and other upgrades at a munitions depot in central Belarus reveal that Russia is building facilities there that could house nuclear warheads. If Russia does move weapons to this location, it would mark the first time it has stored them outside the country since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Russia already has nuclear warheads on its own soil that are close to Ukraine and NATO countries, but by basing some in Belarus, the Kremlin appears to be trying to accentuate its nuclear threat and bolster its nuclear deterrent.
Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin, made reference to such a site early last year, saying Russia would soon be completing the construction of “special storage for tactical nuclear weapons” in Belarus.

The New York Times analyzed satellite imagery and photos, and spoke with nuclear weapons and arms control experts, to track the new construction, which started in March 2023.

The site is 120 miles north of the Ukrainian border at a military depot next to the town of Asipovichy. Some of the recently built structures there have features that are unique to nuclear storage facilities at bases inside Russia. For example, a new, highly secure area is surrounded by three layers of fencing, in addition to the existing security perimeter of the entire base. Another telltale sign is a covered loading area connected to what appears to be a concealed Soviet-era underground bunker.

France warns Department of Foreign Affairs about Russian disinformation targeting Irish voters

French officials have warned the Department of Foreign Affairs about efforts by Russia to extend its disinformation activities into Ireland in the run-up to next month’s European elections.

The network of Russian websites and social media accounts was first revealed last February when French security officials alleged Moscow was using it to sow discord in France and other EU countries by exploiting grievances around divisive issues such as immigration.

The aim, according to Viginum, a newly formed French agency tasked with countering hostile disinformation campaigns, is to erode European support for Ukraine in its defensive war against Russia, boost the image of Russia abroad and foster discontent within western societies.

Last week French officials contacted their counterparts in the Department of Foreign Affairs to inform them that since March these efforts have extended into Ireland and have become more pronounced generally in the run-up to the European elections which are due to take place here on June 7th.

Security services believe Russia wishes to see candidates from the extremes of the political spectrum succeed in the elections in the hope this will weaken EU support for Ukraine.

Somebody was triggered by the Moscow Marjorie picture with the stupid hat? Meh. Overthinking stupidity isn't productive.

China still trying to ride two horses? With a huge risk of pulling it’s groin. This week Xi met up with two major dickheads in Orban and Vucic. My guess it’s tendonitis time or even full rupture.

China is still trying to ride two horses because there are multiple horses in Europe.

Their money is as good as Macron's.

Russia claims capture of five villages in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast

Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported on May 10 that Russian forces launched an attempt to break through in Kharkiv Oblast.

Kyiv Independent could not verify the Russian Defense Ministry's claims but on May 11, Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesperson of the Khortytsia group of forces, said Moscow's troops were being held back in the so-called "gray zone" and had not advanced.

Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov speaking to journalists on May 11 said the situation was "fully controlled" and fighting was ongoing in four of the five villages claimed by Moscow – Strilecha, Pylna, Borysivka and Ohirtseve.

Lucky for Gazprom Ukraine is still paying Russia transit fees for gas or the situation would be much worse.

Russia attacks 106 infrastructure facilities in Ukraine in one day
Russia attacked 106 infrastructure facilities in nine regions in Ukraine over the last day, the Defense Ministry's Military Media Center reported on May 12.

Various weapons were used in the attacks and 107 settlements were targeted. Thousands of households in seven oblasts are suffering power outages due to Russian attacks, the Energy Ministry reported.

In the last 24 hours, 1,146 customers in Kharkiv Oblast lost power, alongside 4,600 households in Donetsk Oblast, 2,418 households in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, 450 in Mykolaiv Oblast, 510 in Sumy Oblast, 25,800 in Kherson Oblast, and 1,500 customers in Chernihiv Oblast.

While some settlements have been reconnected as of May 12, thousands still face blackouts. The situation is worse in Donetsk Oblast where 47,700 customers are disconnected from the power grid.

Russia also launched a mass attack on energy infrastructure on May 8 in central and western regions of Ukraine, the fifth attack against Ukraine's power network since the start of the year.

At least two hydroelectric power plants were forcibly decommissioned as a result of the attack.

Ukraine's state-owned energy operator Ukrenergo warned on May 10 that the country was facing a "significant shortage of electricity."

Ukraine received an emergency electricity supply from Poland, Romania, and Slovakia, the Energy Ministry reported on May 11.

Kyiv city officials began reducing evening street lighting, Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced on May 9.

Ukraine's state-owned energy operator, Ukrenergo, imposed power supply restrictions on industry and business between 6 p.m. and midnight.

The limitations will not impact power supplies to household consumers in Kyiv.

Popko encouraged Kyiv residents to save money and reduce energy usage between the hours of 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. as these are "the most important load hours for the power system."

Hmmm, this is a bit odd. Syrskyi said everything was okay and claimed it was all under control a day or two ago.

The Russians simply walked in, Ukrainian troops in Kharkiv tell BBC
Denys Yaroslavskyi is angry.

As the Commander of a Ukrainian Special Reconnaissance Unit, he fought in Ukraine’s surprise offensive in Kharkiv in the autumn of 2022, which pushed back an initial Russian invasion all the way back to the border.

But now Denys and his men are facing the prospect of doing the same all over again.

Russian forces have, in recent days, made small but significant gains right along the border in the Kharkiv region.

Their advances are only a few miles deep but have swallowed up around 100km (62 miles) of Ukrainian territory. In the more heavily defended east of Ukraine, it’s taken Russia months to achieve the same.

Denys wants to know what happened to Ukraine’s defences.

“There was no first line of defence. We saw it. The Russians just walked in. They just walked in, without any mined fields” he says.

He shows me video from a drone feed taken a few days ago of small columns of Russian troops simply walking across the border, unopposed.

He says officials had claimed that defences were being built at huge cost, but in his view, those defences simply weren’t there. “Either it was an act of negligence, or corruption. It wasn’t a failure. It was a betrayal”.

There were claims that the money were stolen. Dirty insinuations and Russian propaganda, of course.

the defenses aren't on the border AFAIK.
