Here's an interesting thread I saw on Apolyton.
http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=34651
I didn't try it myself but this guy supposedly made an editor to place civs in the right places in the world map or something...
Of course I agree with you that cheating ruins the game. But the purpose of the thread was to make people who hate the game think twice about creating another "I hate this thing" thread on the same issues that was discussed in a dozen other threads.
What's the fun in playing games that only...
I know that more than half of you are dissatisfied by the game mechanics. And I'd be lying if I say that the game is exactly what I expected it to be...
But that's why they have an editor that can modify every aspect of the game. Until the patch or the MP comes out, I'm going to click every...
I tried it and discovered that it didn't make any difference because I changed the settings in preferences the day I bought the game. Go to preferences and you won't have to hold anything during the game.
It's still pretty slow in my opinion though...
I'm just guessing too but, maybe you have to pick a square beside the capitol without roads to connect it. And yes, you can use one of the other cities linked to your capitol.
In all my games, the neighbouring civ always has roads linking most of their cities together. All you have to do...
Personally, I think that's part of the fun when trying to acquire resources by trade or conquest. But I guess it could be damn frustrating sometimes. Well, the editor probably help. I didn't try this yet but you can raise the appearance ratio of natural resources by a thousand or...
I tried a few times and got the same results, but I don't really care about it anyway. And yes, I found a settler in the goodyhuts but no city...no need for the city anyway.
After listening to all this, I think I'll stick with bombarding:rocket:,
starving the enemy of resources:mutant:, or make my allies do the dirty work for me:spank:.
Well, that cultural victory sure sounds good about now...
Nice stats and
"...can attack multiple times in a single fight and withdraw from combat if losing the fight..."
Whoa!
I wonder what the regular tank stats are though.
After playing so much of Civ2 I later discovered that playing scenarios is a much better way to spend my free time because I can actually finish them that day.
Having said that, does anyone know all the things that we can set scenario objectives as? Like having to obtain certain...
MIGs! :o
But Cossacks are good too I guess...
With Leonardo's Workshop, upgrading my elite hordes of horsemen and knights into Cossacks strategy seem promising.:p
That is, unless we can upgrade stuff into tanks and jets...
I'm not colour blind, so excuse my dumb question...If I understand correctly, all the civs will have different looking cities, units, leaders, and etc. So is there really a need for such a patch?
For Civ3, NO WAY!
But this idea does have some advantages. Maybe for Civ4, there should be an option to turn on and off RTS mode. While most(if not all) of us prefer the leisurely pace of turn-based on single player, sometimes I would love to have the option of RTS mode during multiplayer...
