I was playing on Emporer difficulty and going for a domination victory. I was playing Gilgamesh and thought I was doing well until I was attacked by the Mongols on one side and the Zulu on the other. They kept producing army and corps one after another and even after defeating a bunch of them...
Thanks for the reply. In looking further it appears that the aerodrome is under my control but there is an aircraft that remains in the aerodrome that belongs to Rome. Is it somehow unable to leave like other units when I capture the city?
I just captured one of Romes cities (Setia) and although the city is now mine the Aerodrome right next to it appears to still belong to Rome. It is still purple with a yellow plane icon which is Romes's color. The Aerodrome is within my territory adjacent to the city I just captured. Is this a...
I understand that a Siege Tower allows units to attack the city health directly while the Battering Ram allow units to do full damage against city walls. What I am wondering is how this applies to ranged attacks and if melee attacks have to be from the same tile as the tower or ram?
If there is...
I am playing on Prince difficulty and have managed to found my own religion. However, I found I was swarmed by missionaries from Japan and before I knew it my cities were all reverted back to my original pantheon. I am not sure what happened.
I tried to purchase inquisitors and missionaries...
I really think the port of Civ 6 is fantastic and more than worth the $30 I paid for it. I find I really like the combat mechanics of Civ 6 and was looking for combat focused games that are very similar for the iPad. In fact I find myself playing domination victories mostly.
I really enjoy how...
I like to play Domination victory condition a lot so I frequently run into the situation where all technologies have been researched and the only research left is Future Tech and Future Culture. What I am wondering is if it makes sense to stop all resources that generate science and culture and...
When a city is attacked and subsequently damaged, does it loose benefits of certain buildings inside the city (bank, temple, etc) as it takes damage or are the benefits of the structures only lost when the entire city is destroyed/captured? Thank you.
Thank you both very much for the advice!
I tried making a "beeline" for the tech I wanted and that really helped. I found that I could go back and get the techs I left behind when I had time. Thanks for the tips regarding the scouts. I am now on a Warlord game and edging out all the other...
Thanks for the information. That helps out quite a bit. I purchased Civ 5 via Steam so I have both a Windows and Mac version. I was hoping to run Civ 5 while I did some work (Ya I know ... like any work will get done). For the time being I guess I will setup a BootCamp partition for native...
I have a MacBook Pro 15" with the following specs ...
Core i7 @ 2.66 GHz (2 cores)
8 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GT 330M (512 MB RAM)
OS X 10.6.8 (Not Lion)
I would have expected Civ 5 for the Mac to run a lot smoother with these specs than it does. Even when I turn the graphics options...
Thanks for the reply!
So instead of trying to obtain all the techs in an era before moving to the next, you go directly for specific techs? You mentioned Iron Working. What other techs do you feel are essential to get?
In Civ 4 I would buy the techs I left behind, but that does not...
