I was re-reading my orders that I sent during my first NES, Ffh Ii. Man! What a progression they took (from sheepish sentences to way too long rants for my two or three actions that turn). You can also use your economy to build buildings (listed in the prethread, there are a few of them with different affects and costs) or to research technologies if you have a prototype to do testing on.
