  • I do not quite understand... What did you disprove? You're not bi? Somehow I thought you were. Sorry for preaching anyway.
Ah, sometimes I forget how young you are.
You know, It seems gay men often dislike bisexuals. Mostly because many bisexual people tend to believe that, if they are in relationship with a woman, they're not betraying her if they're having an affair with a man, and vice versa. And because they believe bi's will always end up with a woman. I think it's mathematics - there are dozens time more women than gay men, and anyway, it's easier and allows having offspring... On one side I envy you because you can be with a woman, but, on another side, it may be difficult for someone who doesn't have all the bridges burnt... you know what I mean. I think you're living in a fine country and a fine age, so your life is going to be OK.
Thank you, my dear! Happy New Year to you as well. You forgot the  smiley this time, though
Oh, and your hiena is not smiling any more... :(
Hey, Canada has 6 time zones - it's a fact of life for us that we need to be aware of at least half of them. And I correspond with people in the UK and Germany, so I need to take time zones into account for them, too. ;)

Anyway, pizza, garlic toast, and coke for me tonight. And the cats will get some treats, so that's our wild and crazy New Year. :D
Happy New Year to you, too - it's still 2009 for me, though - another 5 hours and 45 minutes' worth. :D
It is really hard to outlive them - even cats I didn't own, but had as friends (ie. neighbors' cats and dogs). A few weeks ago I went back to my old house to pick up some things and discovered a neighbor's cat had got into the garage and died there - whether it was sick, or got trapped and died of hunger and thirst, I don't know. :( I don't even know for sure whose cat it was. I made sure the cat had a respectful burial, as I did for my other cats who died there over the years, and posted a message on one of the online community bulletin boards in hopes of the cat's owners eventually finding out that even though their cat had died, it was treated as respectfully as possible.

It was still very sad, though - I still cry about it at times, as I still do for my other cats. Losing a beloved pet is something you never really get over. They stay with you for the rest of your life.
Typically those I raised from a kitten do. After all, many of them were either abandoned or were taken from their own mothers at a very young age, so they miss the feeling of having "mommy" around. My Gussy, who died a couple of years ago, surely thought of me as his mother - he was abandoned at a terribly young age, and had lived with the squirrels on our property before I managed to catch and adopt him. It took him awhile before he actually realized he was a cat (true story).
Well, thanks - that's nice to hear. :) Right now I have two cats. I'm not allowed any more than that in the apartment where I live, else I'd surely have adopted at least one more by now. My younger cat is in her "terrible twos" now, and loves to destroy anything made of cardboard or styrofoam - it really keeps me busy cleaning up!
More or less regularly for the forseeable future. Irregularly for the next three weeks for sure.
