Recolors vanilla textures while keeping the variation between regions.
Changes:
Version 2:
- A minor clean-up, removed some redundant textures and downsized some. Removed all custom natural wonder textures except Petosi and Gibraltar, they were fine.
Frankly, it's pretty close to TTE1K, the main difference is that Vibrant Terrain Textures is based on vanilla textures with Estebanium's textures carefully mixed in when appropriate, while TTE1K is just downscaled version of TTE2K, in short, VTT goes for a look even closer to Vanilla. This is most pronounced on tile borders and Tundra textures, can be seen in the attached screenshots.
I intend to differentiate VTT and TTE1K better, by covering more textures and focusing my own tweaks on VTT (and maybe removing them from TTE1k).
--- Install as a DLC ( unzip to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC )
-- Savegame compatible, can be installed or removed at any point, as long as you don't have the game open.
Changes:
- Improved the color and saturation of all main terrain textures (desert, grassland, plains, tundra) across different regions/continents. Regional variation is preserved, and blending between tiles is made smoother where needed.
- Mountains, forests, jungles, city ground textures are also enhanced to match the updated terrain style.
- Tree spacing in forest and jungle tiles is slightly increased—no more messy smudges.
- Water textures (coast, ocean, river) have been adjusted for better color and saturation NO MORE DISGUSTING GREEN FILTER.
- Snow and ice have also been tweaked in line.
