Baba Yetu is still the best IMO, but this one comes pretty darn close! :D

This Cristopher Tin piece, which is sung in the beautiful Maori language, is written in a similar style to Baba Yetu. In fact... if you listen carefully, you can here some excerpts from Baba Yetu! (Check my comment on the video)

Seriously, you can't resist the "Hii-hah!" :mischief:

hell yes, I cannot believe that they made the base sound on BTS to be that other song.

baba yetu is one of the most amazing things to happen to civ

it is my fav after baba yetu

Christopher Tin is a genius. Of course they have to use his music again.

Wasnt there something about him writing the same song in multiple languages? And by the way, this is crap in my honest opinion - nothing like Baba Yetu.

Am I the only one that thinks Baba Yetu is cliche new age garbage?

Just like any other work of art, this kind of music will be some folks cup of tea, but not others.

Nope. I'm with you all the way on that.

What's really grates on me is that civ4 features an incredible amount of truly exceptional music, and yet it's the limp-wristed, disney-esque tripe known as Baba Yetu that gets all the attention.

I would probably give that rating to Kia Hora Te Marino, but not Baba Yetu.

My vote is for Firaxis to pay Christopher Tin to write a new custom theme and get him involved as a consultant in the in game musical theme development process, that would be cool
