I just bought MGE for £4.99 yesterday ...thanks for the tip guys. Now I have both TOT and MGE.

The graphics on MGE are sure different to what I got used to on TOT.

That's great! Someone told me that Toys R Us only sells Civ2 Gold for MAC, I guess he's wrong...

Do they have lots of copies in store?

Yeah, it deffo runs on a PC cos thats what I've got...Windoze. And there were lots of copies available.

I am playing a test game to see what MGE is like. The Wonders videos are great and I like the Council feature too although I bet it wears off after you have seen it a hundred times. I even like the throne room.
The game itself is exactly the same as the version called "Original" in the TOT package.

At the moment I still prefer the TOT graphics and city screen but it's probably just what I am used to. At that price you cant go wrong.

From what I've been told it's the exact same thing w/ a different name for a different market. So if you can't find a copy of MGE might as well pick that up, if the shipping isn't outrageous anyway.
