1 Dead, 2 injured in SpecOps raid on Baalbek

The status qou is that hizballah will now get stronger, other terrorists group will get a boost from the "victory", gee, now why Israel doesn't want that is mind boggling. Already today we saw an example of this from Jordan, in the shooting.
Israel doesn't want what?
Cease-fire?

It doesn't help us that people see that Israel is restraining and the enemy isn't, it isn't like anybody is going to do anything about it becuase of this.
Well don't start to complain why the world condemns Israel actions from now on. It isn't anti-semitism, it's anti-bullheadism.

If we believe the IDF press release, then it was a success, I doubt that.
Small step in the area of military action, one giant leap in the area of international diplomacy.

Sorry, ALL of the unritten rules have been broken during this war, all of the grapes of wraith "understanding" flew out the window this time.
I'm talking about unwritten rules about diplomacy. Israel is working overtime to get their own reputation into the mud and just like North King said bringing themselves to the level of Hezbollah. That is how world sees it now and once again.

Like you said earlier, FUBAR.

Why should I not copletely disregard the international community, they know very well how to condem Israel, and they will do it wether we deserve it or not.

And the fact that they are annoyingly helpless to do anything that might upset thier muslim populations.

I don't want a cease fire, most of Israel doesn't want it, Olmert does, ALL of the north population said during this war, "continue untill you get all of them".
I've never said it's anti-semitism, will people stop accusing me of that?
International diplamcy, International shmilopacy, even when all of them finaly decide on something unanimously, they still don't manage to get it done, its quite amazaing.

Sorry, I value my life as something that is worth more then my reputaion. The problem is, for arabs its the opposite.
The world see what it wants to see.

Don't worry, Israel is just a SNAFU.

Diplomatic victory in the long run? Or at least glimpse of recognition? I'm not waiting any miracles from muslim countries but I'm pretty sure you aren't meaning only muslim countries here.

What these small steps have taken you this far?
Into the same spiral of hatred and terror that has reigned the region from the moment Israel was founded without looking into the issue little more. International community fouled up the whole thing already back then.

But really I don't have all the answers, I just see that Israel isn't only burning bridges behind them but also from front of them.

Look, the middle east would have been in a SNAFU with Israel, or without it.
The thing is, with Israel, you (the west) managed to make them hate you, and instead of Shite's against of sunnni, they "unite" (not realy), to fight us.

I'm not sure though wether the world would have given a damn if it was just muslims against muslims, well, not untill it damages thier oil supply that is.

So.. Israel broke the ceasfire first?

This depends on which side you believe. Apparently Israel claims it was trying to stop a weapons shipment into Lebanon, but the fact is that they did attack. In my opinion, both of them broke the cease-fire.

I agree.
I just said that how the founding was done simply didn't work.
And the international community hasn't found answer to this problem.

I would go even further and say that I think with Israel the west managed to make certain muslims hate us even just little bit more.
Nevertheless we would have ended into this crossroad some day anyway. Such is evolvement of human history.

Not that much. Just look the examples in Africa.
We don't care.

Personally I just believe we have to try to safe what there is to be saved, protect those that are weak and try to give each chance of survival as long as they don't try to take that opportunity away from others.

So Israel pre-emptively launched an incursion into Lebanese territory?

The title of this thread should be, "ISRAEL BREAKS CEASEFIRE."

Sorry, you can't break a ceasefire twice, and it has been broken already several times by both Israel and Hizballah.

Also, yep, I knew this operation wasn't to stop arms shipments, it was so obvious they wouldn't send a SepcOps force just for them, now it turns out they captured 2 hizballah soldiers, I'm thinking that was the main objective.

This is exactly what Israel should have done in the first place. In response to Hezbollah capturing two Israeli soldiers, Israel should have captured two Hezbollah soldiers and used them as bargaining chips. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Iseal already had 1000's of lebanese hostages before hezbollah captured those 2 IDF soldiers. They could have traded some or all of them for their IDF POWs instead of invading lebanon and .. well you know the rest. This indicates to me that Isreal's invasion was merely blamed on the soldiers capture not caused by it. I think the real reason was another one of their infamous land grabs. Sadly for them and the lebanese who were killed etc. they underestimated Hezbollahs ability to defend lebanon. Hence the cease-fire.

Question to you .. you say 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth' does that work the other way?

I agree with that assessment. I believe that Israel attacked Hezbollah and invaded Lebanon in preparation for airstrikes against Iran.

I don't understand the question.

Hey, here's a suggestion - instead of whining about how the whole world is against you every time they tell you to stop buldozing Palestinians out of their houses or object to you invading your neighbours, why not try aiming for the moral high ground! Hezbollah fires a rocket at you - send a commando team in instead of flattening the village next door with artillery and airstrikes, that kind of thing.

You could have started by not breaking the cease-fire this time around and letting everyone know that Hezbollah was expecting an arms shipment. Think how anti-Hezbollah the reaction would have been if CNN or someone filmed Hezbollah re-arming.

I cant understand why the UN is trying to impliment a ceasefire which is only going to protect the terrorists of hezbollah, the lebanese army arent going to disarm hezbollah and certainly dont think a group italian, Malaysian and Bangladeshi troops will do it. My point is there is only one thing to do let Israel continue its offensive until every terrorist scumbag is dead or captured followed by airstrikes on hezbollahs sponsors Iran and Syria, every day until they stop supplying hezbollah.

Oh come on 'fess up you were gave up on your 'long reply' because you realised it would not fool me. I live for reason. That and kindness.

Peace will come to the middle east when zionism is shown to be a false and harmful doctrine that hurts not just christian and muslim but also jew.

PEACE!!!

Whoops sorry that is what happens when you give up smoking only to become an alcoholic!! That question wasn't directed at you so much as at those on these boards who seem to think that the 'team' they support has the right to do anything to what they believe to be the opposing team yet believe the opposing team has no right to punish or retaliate or even defend themselves in return....

How about that family relaxing at the beach in Gaza that your boys shelled? How many did you get again? I suppose it was alright killing them as they would only done to themselves if the IDF hadn't.. is that right?
