1832 to Onclouds.

Egypt declared war on Germany, razed Berlin and sank a destroyer.

Razed Berlin?!?!?!

Alexander (a.k.a Tim),

I'm here in Athens as a peace envoy. I saw mutiple fleets of battleships and detroyers as I flew over the Indian straight. I hope you're planning to turn them into cruise ships. Do you have any suggestions for where I can find wine, women and song while I'm here? ;)

My job just got a lot more complicated! I think I may not be able to play until mid-june. I'm really sorry I haven't been able to take a turn, but I'm on my 21st work day in a row and I need to fly to the netherlands on Wednesday for additional work. My time is stretched to the limit!

I really appreciate your patience and want to reassure you all that I am committed to finishing this game. I think it has been really fun and I look forward to the resolution regardless of the outcome!

Please stick with me!

I am back. But regrettably I need to announce my retirement from the world of CIV 4 PBEM. My work life has become far too time consuming for me to continue this hobby, while a month ago there was an end in sight, things have changed and I no longer see that end looming on the horizon.

My intention was to finish the games I was currently participating in… but since my laptop and CIV4 disk were recently stolen I've decided that it doesn't make sense to replace the disk if I am not intending to start any new games (plus I'm really cheesed off they don't seem to be releasing a CIV 4 BtS for mac, if they did that I would buy the disk again.)

I am very bummed about missing out on the final battle we were all leading up too. Perhaps now that Dazz G has recovered he would be interested in taking over my civs?

Is everyone else around still interested in playing?

With many Regrets…

Tim Ford

I'm interested in continuing, but it wouldn't be the same without you. You're the only player that has played this game from the beginning...

I know. It sucks. I took the last turn and everything. Attacked France. Wiped out their navy. My computer was stolen before I could e-mail the turn though. I was really looking forward to the great war. It was going to be a challenge.

Hi Tim,

I spoke with Onclouds and 1889 and we all would like to finish this game. Do you want to talk to Dazz about filling in for you? I think trying to find a random person from the replacement hall will be tough this late in the game (no pun intended).

I know that Dazz is still in recovery and his time in front of the computer is limited. I would recommend jbieksha. He will definitely give you all a good time.

Much as I hate to admit it, Tim is correct. While i'd love to return to this game, my current situation wouldn't allow me to devote the time to do this game justice on a regular basis.

I too recommend Joe.

Hi Joe,

We'd be happy to have you. Tim can fill you in on what's been happening in the game lately.

By the way, I won't be able to play at all next week as I'll be out on vacation. This gives you a week to make your first move...

Mitch

You will need to give JB the file as my copy of it was stolen.

JB - E-mail me and I'll give you the password. Then after you look at the lay of the land feel free to ask any questions.

Hi Joe,

I messed up. You should be getting the save from Onclouds and sending it to me. I sent an e-mail to both of you so that you have each other's e-mail address.

Mitch

I have the save file and passwords. I am reviewing the set-up that the previous administration has left me. OUr transition teams have started discussions go over the top secret documents to lay out the future of the wonderful Greek-English partnership.

If you have any special agreements with the previous administration, please let me know.

I see I have a few days before I have to send something. I will post when I have sent it to Mitchum.
