This computer I'm playing on is killing me. It's old and slow. It takes 5 minutes to load my turn. It takes 15 seconds to get into city view when I double click on a city. It took me 1 hour to play my turn and all I did was move a few ships around the map and select builds for cities that had just completed their builds.
If anyone wants to attack me, now would be the time to do it. It would likely take me 5 hours to play a turn with all of the moving of units required when in a large-scale modern war.
