10.2.8 Question

Has anyone noticed a longer delay when loading the overall game? Going from the desktop to the home screen, I now have a long lag with a black screen and the old clock pointer. Once I reach the home screen and load a game, the delay is about what it always was.

No. I'm running 10.2.8 but I don't launch and quit very often these days as I only play one game at a time and leave it paused in the background when I'm doing something else. When I *do* relaunch it seems about the same as ever. I have seen a reference to a similar problem in a Panther thread. Check out the "Has anyone tried Civ3 with Panther yet?" thread somewhere around here.

I think the speed of Computer makes the speed of start up
quicker. (a.k.a G3 Is slower than G4)

Thanks, testdummy. I reinstalled Civ, followed up with Alan's GOTM installations, and the problem went away.
