In Civilization 2 i created a great mediterranean map. but now i dont have time to learn the new interface and make one 
but if this interests anybody i would be willing to test and criticise it.
I suggest around 0 is a good date with egypt, rome, greece and persia. Even try adding the germans as the gauls. Slow tech progress and slower non military building would make it a fun mediterranean military struggle
