Yes I have just been experimenting cos I can't find any info on how to use it. I can overide the password's put in by the players using the admin password but it asks for a new password and I can't save it before the game starts.
So either I would have to play 1 turn as France and put in a new password or the new player would have to be given the admin password. Unless someone tells me how to change the password without opening thje game. Is that possible?

I pm'd Blackbird today to see if I can either find out why it has stalled, maybe he has PC trouble or something, or get the password if he wants to drop out. If I don't get a reply we will have to find a replacement.

I have only set up one game so far and have not had to use the admin. password so I am not sure of the procedure. I also would like to know what steps to take. Maybe someone with a little more experience could enlighten us.

Now that everyone is back it might be a good idea to get everyones passwords and stick them in a folder.

OK Blackbird welcome back. It is best if you can warn people if you have real life things that get in the way of a game. We all have these and lets face it a game of civ, fun though it might be, is second place to family and other real life issues.
Post something on the temporary leave thread and/or on the game threads that you can remember, so we know you are going to continue when RL situations are resolved.
I know that sometimes this is not possible due to dying PC's and such like, mostly people will bear with you and wait for your return.

After a bit experimentation I think the way you use the admin password is to send it to the new player who can use it to set up their own password. I can't see any other way of using it. Luckily it is not necessary here.

One of my LongBoats was attacked by barbarian (Finish) galley but survived.
There seems to be some misunderstanding between Denmark and England over a missing English galley which I hope will be resolved.
