2006/2007 College Basketball Thread

Wow, Texas' early schedule is brutal...come on, I wanna play Baylor now :p

How 'bout them Tar Heels? We only have 1 road game in December (at Saint Louis) and our next "hard" game will be January 10th.

Duke has had zero road games--all their "away" games have been a nuetral sites.

And they haven't played anyone, and is the reason they shouldn't be ranked in the top 10.

They played Marquette & Air Force who are both ranked and Goergetown was ranked when they played--same # of ranked teams as North Carolina

Yeah, but you haven't played a top 5 team, Gonzaga, a powerhouse every year, and a talented Tennessee team, plus don't forget Kentucky. They were ranked the week before too, somehow. We also beat Winthrop, a team that upset Kansas.

AlCosta's Rankings:

1. UCLA
2. North Carolina
3. Pittsburgh
4. Ohio State
5. Florida
6. Wichita State
7t. Wisconsin
7t. Puke
9. Arizona
10. Alabama
11. Connecticut
12. Oklahoma State
13. Kansas
14. LSU
15. Gonzaga
16. Texas A&M
17. Butler
18. Washington
19. Notre Dame
20. Oregon
21. Memphis
22. Air Force
23. Florida State
24. Texas
25. Marquette

Nice game coming up, Florida vs. Ohio State. One of those teams is going to the National Championship in my opinion...maybe both if the seedings work out. I continued to be impressed by Oden and Florida is essentially the same team they were last season only with more experience.

Spank.down! Wow Florida is absolutely pounding OSU. They're goooood.

UCLA looked great today as well and the Pac 10 overall looks awfully solid conferencewise.

Wow...beat LSU one week, blow a 15 point lead to Tennessee the next. Hopefully we get hot before and during the tournament and make a nice little run...

My interest in college basketball has waned drastically in the last week.

The 2nd AlCosta Poll:

1. UCLA
2. North Carolina
3. Florida
4. Wisconsin
5. Duke
6. Pittsburgh
7. Arizona
8. Alabama
9. Kansas
10. UCONN
11. Ohio State
12. Oklahoma State
13. Texas A&M
14. Butler
15. Wichita State
16. Washington
17. LSU
18. Air Force
19. Memphis
20. Oregon

Problems:

1. Florida is either better than UCLA or right below them. They manhandled Ohio State and the manchild Oden.

2. Texas isnt ranked :p

3. You have Oregon but no Clemson?
