2011, another bad year in video games.

Well, hopefully Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be good, we still don't know. The Devs did say it will be 25 hours long, so it should be at least 15 hours long then which isn't bad since many games are still released with under 10 hours of content >.>

Every year there is a giant forum post that lists all the upcomming games of the year. I am not sure if this is *the* one, but I think there is a good chance one of these will be good:

Also, remember human memory is faulty. We only remember the good stuff. I keep all my games and I have plenty on my shelf which are not good.

Right, here's a list of 20 PC EXCLUSIVES (well, mostly, there is at least one game on the list (A Song of Ice and Fire) which is also supposed to get ported over to the consoles too) for 2011, some of which are going to be awesome.

Games I forgot to list before:
Guild Wars 2, Sword of the Stars 2, The Witcher 2, Shogun 2 Total War, Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad (also another 2 really but thankfully bucks the trend of having a 2 in the name!), Stronghold 3 (hopefully, though the series went downhill after the first couple of games), Tropico 4 (still haven't played 3 yet though),

EDIT: Nice list there croxis, I forgot about that one. Someo f the games on it are not going to be released in 2011 though (like Infinity: A Quest for Earth).

Good link there Bombshoo, although i was too young to have any memories of that crash these words here stood out in that article:

"There were several reasons for the crash, but the main cause was supersaturation of the market with hundreds of mostly low-quality games which resulted in the loss of consumer confidence."

I really feel that could be applied to todays offering of games for the most part, with some very noticeable exceptions of course.

These two I'm looking forward to for 2011, also, Total War: Shogun 2 looks promising.

As for defense of last year, a year in which Napoleon Total War, Just Cause 2, and Civ V (haters gonna hate) were released isn't a bad year at all. Plus there were plenty of games released that looked really good, and were really good; 2010 was not a bad year.
