2011 MLB Thread

Yes, and he muffed the throw to the plate last night giving the Phils the tie. Nice hitting by Polanco  BTW.

Anybody got any opinion on Nyjer Morgan? He seems to be a very talented player, but what's with all the antics? First in Washington, now in Milwaukee...

WOOOO 8 GAMES BACK BARELY OVER .500 **** YEEEAAAAH Cleveland!

/cries
/watches Alex White win 22 games

Don't worry dt. The Injuns have a great young base to work with, I expect to see them doing very well in the next few years.

For a long time it looked like a certainty that either Yankees or Red Sox would win the wild card race, but now that is not all that certain. The same could have been said about the NL wild card race, where Atlanta were almost certain to get itl, but now St Lious are starting to get a bit close.

Who's encroaching on them? (I don't follow the AL)

Yeah, I'm actually not too worried...we were very unlucky with injuries this season, and still overachieved. With one more consistent bat, we're the favorites for the Central next year I think.

The bad part for me is their farm club (Kinston Indians) are in their LAST year in Kinston, NC :( . No more 25 minute trips to the ballgames  for dgfred.

In the AL Tampa Bay and Angels are within 5 games of Boston and LA are only 1.5 games behind Texas, so thing are getting tight there.

Ya, it's not close close, but i am certainly concerned.

Oh ya, 200 wins for Wakefield!

i think i will take a stroll out to vegetable garden this evening, pick a few fresh cucumbers, slice 'em and dice 'em, flip on the tube, and watch the coolest guy to ever put on a uniform pitch tonight :D

It's close enough to have Boston worried a bit, when they really should have costed to the Wild card of even won the division.

Ya, i actually didn't realize that we were just about to carry that 4 game lead over TB into a 4 game series with them. And you're right, September should have been a time to get some rest and line up our pitching for the playoffs, now i'm just hoping to see the playoffs.

What to you guys think of what Fielder said about leaving this season? Where do you think he ends up?
