2015 MLB season.

Just how many outfielders do the Padres need, anyway?

Three--Upton, Myers, Kemp. Do they have any others? They could use a LHH or two.

Quentin, Venable, Smith, Maybin...

And hell, Liriano, Almonte, and if you really want to stretch, Amarista.

You could have just said, "No. They have no other OF."

Smith and Venable are usable spare parts. Quentin had a .599 OPS and you led with him. None of them hit .250 last season. Neither did Myers for that matter, but at least he is a decent glove.

Like, they may not be good outfielders, but technically, they are all outfielders, and some of them have even been halfway decent in the recent past.

Okay, fair enough.

I have to ask who's playing center field, though. Surely you don't want to ever see Matt Kemp out there, and it's not like Wil Myers would be a big improvement.

Isn't Cameron Maybin a pretty decent centerfielder? Problem with him is that he's a sub .250 hitter with next to no power at all...

Well, Maybin's a good centerfielder, the point was that Upton, Myers, and Kemp are very not good centerfielders.

Regardless, the plan appears to be Myers as the regular CF. It does him an injustice to lump him with Upton and Kemp. He's much better than those two. Myers was quite good defensively in 2013, almost as good as Maybin's best season. Last year, they were close, with Myers in a small sample. It begs the question how much the injury cost him.

I thought who's on first.

Very nice HoF class this year

Randy Johnson
Pedro Martinez
John Smolz
Craig Biggio

I would've liked to see Curt Schilling on the list too, but these 4 names make perfect sense to me. :)

Piazza missed by 5%. Bonds and Clemens moved up slightly. Delgado out after one year, Garciaparra and McGwire and Sosa just barely hang around.

Anyone want to wager a guess as to how Aaron "Voided His Contract by Playing Pick-up Basketball" Boone managed to pick up 2 votes?

Next year we have Griffey, Hoffman, and Edmonds coming up, so it'll get a bit easier for the voters, but not by much.
