Skipping over the introduction (I'm to lazy to make one... eh.. I hate you to :p). As always, it's split up by country.. you guys should have the general idea.

I recommend, okay.. well recommend is maybe to weak of a term for this. If we do not do the first Roman trade and the French trade... we are a ton of idoits.

67gpt
155 gold
Incense
Gems

Agreed.

Do the French trade first, then the Roman for everything they will give us.

We NEED the luxuries to kick our science up to max.

There is one trade with Persia we do not want to miss; we have 5 more turns running on our deal for silks. We may have to pay for this either in gpt or with Currency perhaps to take them into the next age, and a free tech (Monotheism we can hope). We already have rioting in the streets of 3 of our cities due to the loss of the incense and gems from Rome, let us keep this trade going and avoid further riots.

Looking at the current available deals with France and Rome,

Rome currently offers 23gpt, France 44gpt.
Without the Luxuries Rome will not increase their gpt offer so that's all the gpt they have.
Without the additional gold in the offer, France will not increase their gpt offer so that's all the gpt they have

Just trading luxuries: Rome wants Wines and 12gpt for Incense and Gems. If we do that trade first that will give Rome and additional 12 gpt, taking their available gpt up to 35gpt, still less than France.

Therefore we trade Engineering to France first for 44gpt and 116gold

Then we trade to Rome and see how much gpt we can then get, the price will drop from France but as France can not pay more we should still get some or all of our investment in the luxury deal back, plus we are giving something to Rome on a per turn basis which may encourage them not to break the deal.

Summary:
1. Rome: Incense and Gems for 12gpt and Wines
2. France: 44gpt and 116gold for Engineering
3. Rome: as much gpt and gold as we can get for Engineering
4. When it expires: The Persian Silks deal for gpt or Currency

It may be worth waiting to up our science rate until we see whether Persia gets Monotheism if we trade Currency for continued Silks.

I'll go with everyone else here. do the France and Rome deal for the luxury and gpt.
