The title says it all. This is from a old 3.13 save under 3.17. It is easily noticeable that I'm using BUG and Blue Marble:
Spoiler :

I see the same. I even started a game in Future Era to test if the problem is 3.13-save-in-3.17 related, and I saw the same there.

So it's related to 3.17, even with new games.

I wonder if it is WAD. If not, where did the change happen? Any idea?

Blue Marble and BUG here. Both in Custom assets.

I talked with ColdFever ( BlueMarble developer ) and he said it is not related with Blue Marble, because BlueMarble does not touch in the roads graphs. Will see the BUG people as well ;) ( butI would be seriously surprised if BUG had anything to do with it :p )

I'm curious if the people experiencing this bug are running Vista?
If so, when you ran the patch - it needs to be "Run As Administrator"
If not, then I'm not sure.

I do know I was using Junctions on a number of the install directories, and this particular patch for some reason didn't change all the files. Vista uses ShadowFolders and a number of other Junction-like things, it is especially resistant to ProgramFiles changes.

This is the first time I've run into a program that f'd up a Junction. From what I knew the location the junction points to is "resolved/expanded" at the system level, before any calls beyond that directory may proceed.

Though I have seen some oddities in WIn2K where files can't be deleted from a junctioned path, it needs to be called from the true path.
Perhaps the patch attempts to delete files, then copy the replacement into place - without using a /FORCE to overwrite if the file still exists.

Anyways I noticed this after more than a few posts talked about some changes, I noted those changes were not in my xml files.

That would explain a thing or two... but atleast I installed as Administrator ( but I would no be surprised if Vista ragged about messing with Program directory, even in "Run as Administrator" )

well that's not the case. Windows XP here. The problem is there.

There are Ancient roads in modern age because 3.17 changed XML file Assets\XML\Art\CIV4RouteModelInfos.xml. Paths to graphic files for modern age roads refer to old-style roads. I just edited these paths, so now they refer to modern-shaped roads. As it was in 3.13.

Place this XML file into "BtS\CustomAssets\XML\Art\" folder(recommended) or replace the original file in "Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\Art\" folder.

Thats a rar file not a XML file.
