32 enemies on Tiny map - sick and fun

Heh, i made a MP map on this principal

everyone had 2 cities..1 on a mini continent, wich had an equal amount of resources and size and territory, and 1 a lil of cost, as a city on a 1 tile island..but this city had a ICBM on it..so every started in industerie and had a nuke..very nice, coz using it will totally unbalance the game ;)

Maybe i'll amke sumthing else like that, but bigger

I did one one monarch. 5 civs on my starting tiles. In around 25 turns, I had killed 10+ civs by just killing their unprotected settlers and workers, and now have 25+ foregin workers. Things going good too, because I got an SGL, rushed Pyramids, then got a MGL the turn after (with France) :D.

I made a mod for this a *long* time ago - before even PTW, I think - and it had highest aggression for every civ too. Pretty fun.

Just finished my game on Emperor last night - and man it was a blast :D

I won in the early Industrial ages (after discovering Nationalism and Steam Power) by domination. I had 19 cities, while the 4 last remaining AI's had 1 each. The game took a total of 20 hours.
There are always some AIs who gets to build 2 cities, and man - they really grow strong if you don't snatch their spare city! At worst, I was about half an age behind 2 civs in my game!
When you get 4-6 cities under your control though, you have a chance to win the tech race. On Emperor, when I had 5 cities, I finally got to parity with the leaders - and soon I was half an age in front of everyone :)

What's very important in games like this, is military. You can't have enough units! I constantly see an AI from the other side of the map suddenly moving stacks of 30+ units towards my territory - and it's vital for me to get my units in place in time. Military will win you this game - as it's the only way of expanding!

The best tip for such a game is to build bombardment units - and LOTS of them! I used them for every attack (even on single Spearmen in the open) to redline the enemy - and after wiping out about 17 civs or so I had only lost 3-4 offensive units :D

It's very fun to play like this, as you need a whole different strategy than in 'normal' games.

I'll post a screen when I get home!
...and tonight I'll try it on Deity :D

PS: Someone asked if I've made techs cheaper - well I haven't, in fact I haven't changed anything except for max number of civs :)

Would anyone happen to have screenshots of such a game? I would love to see the results for such an effort. :D

As requested, here's some screenies..
Unfortunately, I just found out that the game deletes all auto-saves when you win. I always rely on auto-saves - and I only have 3 'normal' saves from my game.

Anyway, here they are.. Pay close attention to the mini-map ;)

I've played a little on Deity, and it's really really hard!

Here's a screenshot of the game, pretty cramped in there (I'm the Japanese) and without sea access :(
This is gonna be a hard one..

I think that one of the reasons why some civs start so close, is that there is some sort of bug (maybe some overflow), since game can't put all of them on standard distance (11 tiles on tiny map).

Anybody tried lowering Distance Between Civs to less then 11, like 6. I think that helps to get less suicidal civs.

I changed it to 5, and it works like a charm :)

I was wondering...if anyone could explain how fix it up so you can play with more civs then allowed on a map...like 32 civs...cant seem to get it to work...any help is appreciated...thanks...
