Guaetemala?

Mexico declared war on the Axis on 30 May 1942, and was one of only two
Latin American countries to commit fighting forces to the conflict ( the other
was Brazil). From Feb.1945, a squadron of the Mexican Air Force saw service
in the Far East, losing EIGHT men in operations over the Phillipines and
Formosa. Mexican involvement in the war led to a great increase in US
influence over the economy.

I wrote six instead of eight in the question  . Open floor for next one.

What Soviet weapons program was headquartered in Kharkov
soon after its liberation in Aug. 1943?

Rik is correct. Although the Soviet bomb project was started
earlier, it was moved to Kharkov on that city's liberation.

Rik's question.

el bumerino... anyone seen Rik?

ok its been awhile, sorry Rik, ill ask a question.
When and where was the first bomb dropped on German soil.. and by whom?

IIRC the Polish air force flew a few attacks on German targets at the very first day of attack (1.9.1939). If not there was a British air strike on the 5th IIRC on German warships at Wilhelmshaven, which was not successfully.

I'm going to guess that some German pilot navigated wrong and bombed his own country :D

oh thats it but just need the last part of my question. But indeed Adler u did get it.

heres the rest. But good job

Spoiler :

The first bomb of the war to land on German soil was dropped on December 3, 1939. A Wellington bomber of 115 Squadron, attacking German shipping in the North Sea, suffered a 'hang up' when one of its bombs failed to drop. It fell off on the return trip over the island of Heligoland.

German destroyer and fleet torpedoboats sank in anti submarine actions only 2 enemy submarines. One of them was T 33 sinking a Soviet sub in the Baltic in 1945. What was the other destroyer? Hints: The ship was also responsible for detecting another submarine which was sunk by a subchaser lead by this ship. Also this ship is something special.

Hans Lody
or
Theodor Riedel .. those are the only ones I could come up with

No. Both were used in the Atlantic. Also both were built in Germany.

P.S. cidknee: When I was conscript my Feldwebel explained us a German soldier never retreats but only advances in anover direction.

Okay, nobody got it. Since cidknee is the only poster I give the next question to him. The answer was:
ZG 3 Hermes
A formerly Greek destroyer, Vasilefs Georgios, which was built by Yarrow & Co., Glasgow, modified British H class (German 5" guns instead of British weapons among others). In 1939 the ship was commissioned. Later captured by the Germans the ship was used as officially only German destroyer in the Med (some Italian DDs were used later but officially classified as torpedo boats). Hermes was doing mostly escort duties. Among them Hermes detected the British submarine HMS Triton, which was sank by a German sub chaser. Later the British sub HMS Splendid tried to attack Hermes, but was sunk with depth charges herself. The survivors were rescued by the destroyer. In the final fight of Tunis Hermes and 2 Italian DDs were attacked by over 150 enemy planes. The 2 Italian DDs were sunk almost fastly but not Hermes. 10 attacking planes were downed by the FlaK. However splinter of bombs damaged severely the engines which broke soon after the attack ended. In Tunis there was no time for reapiring so the ship was scuttled. Her last captain, Hans Rechel, got the Knight´s cross for his actions. No ship Hermes escorted was sunk.

Cidknee, your question.
