I've done all the work on my first two civs, except for the arcane and naval for my Scythians. (I've also done a fair bit of work on improving upon some base civs, as well as the Civics. Some changes are similar to those seen elsewhere, while others are completely original)
However, Omnicorp are currently "completely" done (with add-ons to come later), and they are a large Human organization ... a little "modern era" flavor in an FFH setting. (well, the full scope of my setting is some-what different than FFH, but I won't consider removing the regular races until a later date ... and honestly rather than remove the races I'd rather keep them in because they are fun to play, and balance the old races with the new as best I can)
I was working on this mod recently all the way up till it was time to get in the car to go to the airport.
Currently in Honduras, but I'd like to finish it off sometime late the 15th of January or so, during that small window where I once again will have modding (and release) access. I'm crossing my fingers!
While over hear, I got some great ideas for another new race or two ... bringing the current "planned races" tally to ... oh about a dozen or so
Well, with this first launch, we will have the addition of a very multifaceted Reptilian civilization ... and an "invasion" from big-money Corporate power from (perhaps) the 20th or 21st century. The Corporation, much like the Ashen Veil, is primarily composed of people simply looking for power and a sizable 401k (and lots of bonuses!), however, the top executive branch has some nefarious goals of their own ... and Omnicorp also has a few dangerous tools to play around with, but if they aren't careful it could spell their doom (and the doom of all others). So, while perhaps the complete and utter destruction to the point of non-existence isn't exactly the full ulterior goal ... pretty much destroying all "life" so that it basically becomes unable for living organisms to inhabit anything ... kind of IS the goal of Zacklord the Deceiver. (also known as Zacklord of the Burning Flame).
Well, that about sums it up for now ... who will win? The noble (if sometimes nefarious) Scythian race? Or the down right dastardly Omnicorp Industries? That's for YOU to decide
((Warning)) - there will be only placeholder art for a very long time

Some of the Races that will be involved:
Spoiler :
(again, these are the races as seen in Scythia, if traveling to other reptilian Nations, these descriptions' mileage may vary)
The Anuran. (arcane)
Spoiler :
-> Water-Breeding, land-dwelling masters of the arcane. Friend to neither angel or daemon, they are the perhaps most ambiguous of the Scythian races. Some say the frog-like Anuran have an agenda with dark masters from deep within the sea. Others say they plan to overthrow the Iguanids as rightful heirs to the Scythian Throne. Many among the alliance consider the Anuran rather sinister, however the Iguanid leadership appreciates their Arcane expertise, and see them far more useful working FOR the Iguanids than fully pursuing their own goals (whatever those goals may be). Albeit not a perfect solution, for the meantime the Anuran are fully welcome to live in Scythia, and free to stay as long as they please.
The Naga. (divine)
Spoiler :
-> Home at either land or sea, the Naga primarily reside in large temples deep within the land-based jungles. Their close proximity with the Lizardmen has, over time, developed close relations with several lizard species. However, these Lizard-loving Naga are but a small fraction of the Snake-based species in "Amazonia." Many other Snake species (even other Naga clans) have more of a mutual hatred/rivalry with the Lizards than anything else.
The Archosaurs. (mounted-ish)
Spoiler :
-> Perhaps the most powerful (asides from the Hydras) of the Scythian races are the Powerful Crocodilians. Archodon Rex is truly a monster of a beast, and not much can match up against it in terms of raw strength and ferocity. Indeed, the Alligators and Crocodiles can also greatly ruin an opponent's day.
The Skinks. (recon)
Spoiler :
-> The Skinks (only talking about the Clan that specifically works for Scythia), while one of the weakest races asides from perhaps the Squamid, are one of the most warlike. While perhaps not as directly dangerous as a Hydra, they will constantly harass an enemy or rival with wave after wave of soldiers ... all light on their feet, many times with the first wave retreating right as the second wave hits from another side of the battlefield. Fierce and wild warriors, these free-spirited clansmen only work for the Iguana of Scythia as part of a mutual partnership ... one that the Iguana leadership greatly appreciates, (if somewhat tongue-in-cheek). Elsewhere the skinks have been enslaved by more Tyrannical Iguanids, and elsewhere still Skinks have set up their own Civilizations, shaped by the various cultures of the other Skink "tribes" (or nations, I suppose).
The Iguanids. (melee)
Spoiler :
-> The most majestic and masterful of the lizard species, the Iguanids are some-what similar to the "Saurian's" of Warhammer's lizard armies. However, the Iguanids of the Scythians are philosopher warriors much like (some of) the elves, if perhaps possessing a more feral/ aggressive approach to life.
The Squaemids. (lesser melee + archery)
Spoiler :
-> Descendants to the servants of the great Lizard King of old. They nobley sacrificed their own food supply to keep the blood of the Iguanas strong within the clan. While their own health (and some may say genetics) have suffered, they are openly welcomed among the Scythians as "equals of a lower order." While perhaps given the short end of the stick, they are viewed as ethical equals and have the same or similar rights as the other races in the court of law. (not occupation rights, but property rights etc)
The Hydra (other)
Spoiler :
-> the monstrous Hydra act as part-siege and part naval, making up for a complete lack of conventional siege on the part of the Scythians. Perhaps the most Beast-like of the Scythian races ... while they do have intelligence their hearing is rather poor, and their patience is very VERY thin. So, when things get hairy (or confusing) they tend to kill first and ask questions later.
The Serpentine (naval)
Spoiler :
-> The ocean-dwelling Serpentine that have sided with the Scythians fully acknowledge the predatory superiority of their Hydra brethren, and have decided to join such a diverse Nation as Scythia in order to have a better chance at full citizenship.
The Tortoise races (naval)
Spoiler :
-> Perhaps one of the wisest of the Scythian races, their goal isn't to use their wisdom to the advantage of the state, but simply to abide by their "live and let live" stance, and figured that they may as well stick with the one nation that views all (or most) reptilian nations with some level of parity. Albeit, perhaps they are somewhat dismayed that none of the Dinosaurs have been invited to the party ... Dinosaurs are more avian anyways, and the Tortoise's figure that, as long as they don't participating in any fighting, that they can play along with their Nation's demands. Of course, other Tortoises have joined other sides ... but Iguanid scholars believe that the wisest of the Tortoises with the most leadership have joined the Scythians ... and that were the Tortoise races to shed their Passive ways, it would work in favor of Great Scythos.
