We should start looking into the future of conflicts on this continent, and perhaps abroad. The better prepared, the better.

First of all, there's the Gamecatcher Alliance. Diplomatically, they are sneaky, and likely not to be trusted after the war is over. Propects look grim for them, with the force of Elucidian Immortals on their back. We can only hope that Elucidia takes our GCA, and soon.
We should not take them lightly. Their roster consists of many expert civvers, and even if they are disabled, they could beat us into a pulp.
Our short-term goal, in the event the war continues, should be securing a boundry at Balance of Power. We should make a show of force at the city at some point, so that they will take us seriously. Or, we can make our peace with CDG to secure it.

Second, Elucidia. They are generally friendly to us. All attmepts should be made to maintain a strong relationship with them.
As for their team, they seem to be one of the less-experienced bunches. I can't say I know any of their team's reputations. They should be respected, but watched carefully.

Third, Apolyton. They are to be feared. Their own internal PTWDG has proven that these people are experts in their field, and cutthroats at that. I've heard stories of faked screenshots, and gifts, just to throw off their much-worse intentions. Take their words carefully.
As I said, we should watch them, and carefully. A hunch tells me that their less-than-committed stance on the GCA war means that their still trading actively with them.

Future interactions: If GCA is taken out of the picture, we're left to be concerned with Apolyton and CDG. Considering the restricted space up there, All I can predict is war between them. Already, their settling pattens look agressive - a new Apolytonian city is sitting real close to CDG.
In the event of war, we should remain neutral, or even side with Apolyton - Considering what I know of their reputations, Apolyton will almost surely win.

I hope these comments can help chart our diplomatic future - comments welcome. :)

Apolyton scares me honestly... Look, they're crammed and hemmed in on this tiny corner of the continent, and they say they're building a *defense* oriented military? No... They must be building an offensive military to take some cities if they want to survive in any meaningful way.

Run for the hills!

An excellent summation Lord Octavian. Apolyton may be sneaky, but that doesn't guarantee their victory in a conflict against Elucida (which by the way, I recently found out is the correct spelling of their country - they are the Elucidians from Elucida - go figure...).

I think this is an excellent summation of the Foreign Affairs / Diplomatic arena we shall be facing. Would anyone else care to contribute from a more strategic point of view (ie. landmass, terrain features, resources, etc...)?

BTW, in case anyone hasn't noticed...

Apolyton has managed to establish quite a tight little network of cities (eight in all). This is the kind of build pattern that frightens the heck out of me. I've seen it before and it's a powerful system.

The proximity of cities makes them very easy to defend with fewer units as they can quickly move from one front to another.

The number of cities allows for large scale unit production for fielding a large army quickly and supplying reinforcements rapidly.

This is what I and a few others had meant much earlier about establishing a tight build pattern for our cities. GCA may well be the current enemy, but APO is slowly going about making themselves the scariest nation on the continent.

This is why I advocate staying on Apolyton's side of things. If my prediction comes true and there is an Elucidian-Apolytonian War, we should side with Apolyton. Before I forget, our NAP with them is about to expire. I 'm gonna post a renewal poll, with borders included...

We need to ether get on Apolyton's good side (Which may be impossible) or keep them away with a twenty foot, or tile, pole. If they can't be complety trusted, then we need to keep some form of a buffer zone between us and them.
