A Moors Game

I suggest Mughals, I consider their UHV great, but waaaaaaaaaayyyyy to hard to acheive, never did it. Surely yours moorish gameplay is inspiring, going to try it soon. Thank you for your time, btw.
Mughals sounds interesting. And it's challenging, too. You can see that it's one of the civs that are not posted in the 1.12 UHV thread. The India map rework Leoreth did a while ago also makes Mughal a good choice.

I'll see if I have the time to pull it off. I have not won with Mughal before.:crazyeye:

Colombia!
I think that'll be your job.;) I really can't play any late game civs on this laptop.

Oops, yeah, forgot you can't play late game civs.

I was in the middle of a French Domination game guide when I got the infinite turn glitch, so that whole thing is on hold.

Interesting, can you avoid it by loading a previous save?

If Byzantium is not too late try them please. I eager to see if you can bribe barbarians while saving gold.

Byzantium is one of the easier civs isn't it? They don't seem to need to bribe any barbs.

It all depends on luck, really. If you OB'd with a civ or declared war on a civ reload to a save before and don't DoW that turn. Wait until the year after the bug is. Additionally, if you have any ships at sea keep them in a city, because I remember hearing from Leoreth that the bug is caused by a bug with ships crossing with each other. Generally loading from a previous save and doing something different works though, going back 20-30 turns works best for me.

A lot of my games encounter this bug but I don't think there's a way to fix it

That was fast :p Canada perhaps?

I've spent some time in finishing the game during the weekend. The guide will be completed next week.

The bad news is, I wasted several hours on a Mughal game because their first goal is bugged. If I can find time to play next week, I'll try Byzantium instead.

Unlike in our Portugal game, we get to contact other civs rather late in the game. Here we meet the Mughals. We have no trade route connection with them because of unrevealed map.

A Great Engineer is born in Cordoba. We have no good use for him really.

Meeting Songtsen Gampo, leader of the Tibetans.

Manchester has turned independent! The English haven't been doing well in the last couple of games I played. They did build a few triremes for us to sink. After dealing with them, our corsairs move on to the Baltic Sea, where we'll find the Viking treasures.

Meeting the Chinese. China, Arabia and Mughal are good tech trade partners because their research modifiers are so much worse than yours.

The hospitable Vikings have presented their first gift of 100:gold:.

I usually send in a group of ~3 corsairs to any specific region. Among them one should get promoted to Medic I, the others can be promoted to either Combat or Drill.

The Polish. I wonder what's this "Past events have drawn our people apart." thing on everyone's face?

Meanwhile in Inca, our conquerors have arrived. It's not very interesting to capitulate actually, because without Astronomy we can't really give/take anything to/from them(except the teleporting slaves).

I didn't take a screenshot of taking the city, but you can imagine what happened.

Some map trades after researching Paper.

Our GE hurries the production of the University of Sankore. It really doesn't matter at this point.

Conquerors have reached shore from the Pacific Ocean.

Meeting the Congolese people. They have nothing we need.

We have lost both of our knights in our first battle with the Aztecs.

Inca capitulates during the siege of Tiwanaku. We liberate Caqonatambu back to them. Seems like we can't gift it back somehow.

The Japanese. I don't see how Oda Nobunaga has a different personality than Tokugawa.

Arabia has finally collapsed, so long our friend. Another collapse-on-capitulation instance.

Perhaps they're racists. Also, like the Cordoban Peru and Mexico you have going on there :D

We are barely able to take two cities from the Aztecs. By this point they should be willing to capitulate, but they still refuse to talk.

We have accumulated over 1000:gold: from sinking ships in Europe. Our next batch of corsairs have reached the Indian Ocean.

Losing to barbs, reclaiming, granting independence and taking it back, we are finally able to gift Caqonatambu back to the Incans.

Meeting the Indonesians and the Thais.

Look at all those Hindi swordsmen!

Montezuma is willing to capitulate, AFTER I disbanded all troops in Aztec land. It's weird but it's welcome.

Random event. "Running With the Bulls" in Madrid.

With our corsairs all over the world highly active, we are soon to reach the 3000:gold: loot goal. Therefore we have began our final unification of the Iberian Peninsula.

Lisbon is captured by the Caliphate of Cordoba.

Caravels on open ocean is a hard target for our corsairs.

But they can't escape the fate of being sunk.

I guess I should've taken more screenshots of my piracy acts, but here we are at a total loot of 3000:gold:.

Victory is ours! This game has been quite enjoyable.

Thanks for reading.

Ready to try a game yourself?;)

Thank you, I love your stories, and finally the Moors game worked for me :)

I see that the first Mughal goal is fixed, yet don't know whether their UHV is achievable with current tech speed issue etc, in case you left their gameplay, you promised to do Byzantium (Tigranes's wish) ... and in the future ... how about France, s'il vous plait? I'm not a warmonger and always struggle with the 40% Europe goal - especially with the Prussian spawn, also their interesting gameplay offers a good story to tell.

With the bug resolved(thanks Leoreth:)) I'd like to finish the Mughal game first. I feel it's a really clutch game, and I may have to restart the game to get a better chance at winning(build more cottages, take Pagan early and stuff). The India map change has surely helped Mughals a lot, and hopefully the slow tech rate in general may implicate that no TC troops will appear before 1750. I just need to find the time to play...

Great Game!

Can you please check F9 corsair built/killed statistics. And what are the typical price tags on ships, are they all random?
