    Another Great Artist in born in Delhi, this is our 6th GP.



    Meet the Moors...

    We have researched Chemistry! Prepare to train a score of grenadiers, my friend!



    Harmandir Sahib finished in Delhi. I delayed it 1 turn on purpose, so that it gets finished right when the Golden Age from the Taj Mahal ends. In this way, we get 1 extra turn of Golden Age for free. A welcome bug it is.



    The Portuguese Trading Company arrives too late, they'll get crushed by Chinese grenadiers.

    We have achieved our first 2 historical goals. The time is 1630 AD.



    Adopting Vassalage-Standing Army. Terrible stability penalty, but we get to have level 4 grenadiers in this way.

    I forgot to mention many buildings in many of cities were whipped not built, Mughal has good enough modifiers to abuse the use of slavery. Same with the grenadiers, we're going to make use of the excess population in our cities.:devil: We need ~18 grenadiers(for 3 cities) to be on the safe side.



    We still have some :espionage: left so why not play a prank?



    There. They are much friendlier towards us now.

    Another Great Prophet from Azimabad? Just have him join the workforce! That's the 7th Great Person we've had.



    Galley sinking a privateer, what a hero. I think I used the first 2 free wins on the barb swordsmen in Sri Lanka, so this is the last of the 4(?) free wins on Regent.



    Our stability is alright now.

    Another Great Artist in born is Delhi, that's the 8th GP in this game.



    Whoops, the English have arrived.



    They have 3 stacks near Kolkata, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, consisting of 6 riflemen and 4 cannons each. We should strike them first.



    Indonesia is quite advanced aren't they? We'll get Replaceable Parts from them, to buff the watermills(which we have none:p).



    The general tech rate seems to be alright.



    Battles against the English are won elsewhere, except in Kolkata. Their TC troops appeared on the tile surrounded by rivers so we couldn't commit a all-in attack. I chose to give up the city and retake it the next turn -- this turn.



    6 riflemen killed by 6 grenadiers. The English still have 4 cannons, but they can't do anything with only siege units. The cannons will get cleaned up later. The actual war is over.

    You may have noticed we've been funding culture for a few turns. It wasn't necessary in hindsight, I was trying to be safe.

    Our 9th GP, another Great Artist, in born in Lahore. I was wrong to say we only need 1 GP from Lahore, this is the second one already.



    Checking our total :culture:: 27000+. With 5 Great Artists standing by, we are very safe. Only a collapse can stop us from winning now.



    Oops, Thailand has respawned. Let the city go then.



    And their capital is in Indonesia somehow?



    Meeting Mali.



    Finally, Elizabeth is willing to sign the peace treaty. And St. John's?:eek:

    The Mughal people are not very interested in Education, but we get it from the Spanish anyways.



    And England is quite friendly towards our people. Why would they have tried to invade our land then? Maybe they are trying to collapse us by selling us Liberalism!



    Entering the Industrial Age with Steel. Not sure what's the point of delaying the finishing of Steel, but I did it nonetheless.

    Our 10th GP, a Great Artist from Azimabad. Wait, is this the 1st Great Artist we ever get from Azimabad?



    Woooo, instability alert!



    Our 11th GP, also the last one, is a Great Artist with no name from Delhi. But this is only the 8th Great Artist we have got! We need more names!



    At last, we would switch to contemporary civics combo(are they really?). But the game is already at its end so it matters not.



    Ayutthaya was defended by a single longbowman. As we take the city, Thailand collapses again.



    Now sacrifice all the Great Artists!have the artists create their work! We have reached an astonishing amount of 63000+:culture:! :eek: I didn't mention building other cathedrals in Delhi and Azimabad, but those are the only cities which need to build Cathedrals at all. Mausolleums and theaters are mandatory in all cities, we need a certain number of temples, but monasteries are not all that necessary. You can build them for :science: though, just like libraries. Point is you can prioritize other things over them.

    The French TC troops appeared in Indochina during the last turn of our game. I thought 1748 AD would be the last turn but no.



    We are not able to take out all of them. But the game is already won!



    3 Mosques, 3 Wonders, 50000:culture:, we did it!:king:

    Great job, :king:, now it is time to try it myself ... I see I made a mistake on focusing on building buildings instead of training more troops in the initial phase of the game, delaying my conquest of the indian subcontinent ... nice usage of the rest of the army to conquer Indochina.

    You need more cities to be researching effectively. Mughals have a research modifier of 130%(high penalty) so expansion into Indochina is recommended. Whip an army first, then whip out some infrastructures(prioritize temples for the first goal). Then research the prerequisite techs for all the wonders, with MT last, since earlier Taj Mahal helps you overall.

    I feel Mughals game is more complicated than Portugal and Moors, there are more elements involved. Be prepared to try a few times for the win! City micro/management is important.(Although I often use automated citizens:lol:. I do assign specialists and emphasis on certain factors so it's not total automation.)
