A New Age

Yang Kang reporting in.

I'll have something up soon, I've just been flat out the last few days.

Why are we reporting?

Nevertheless, I am still in.

Uhh, the game is running now. You don't have to report in.

I guess I'll say orders lock next Saturday around 12pm EST. That would be about 9 days from now.

“Go away!” said the man behind the door “We’re good Farsight worshipping people in this town, we don’t anything to do with you and your stupid giant!”

“But I’m not...” started Albinka Malczewska, but before she could finish her sentence the man had slammed the slit on the door shut. Albinka sighed. Almost every house in this Goddess-forsaken village had given her a similar response (and the few that realized who she was politely declined to let her in or engage in conversation), but that was to be expected.

Albinka was in a small Shansian town. Officially she was there to proselytize, luckily for her she was given almost complete autonomy in where she could proselytize as long as she reported back to the office in the capital (which consisted of half a dozen priests who had lost most of their marbles) every ten lunar cycles and she stayed within the borders of the Traconian Empire then she could do whatever she wished. Although she attempted to proselytize, she knew that this was not what the Lady wanted her to do. She wanted her to slay those who would harm her children and that is why she was here. This town had seen multiple disappearances, which why they were not friendly to strangers. She wanted to get to the bottom of this issue and free the people from the terror they were living under.

After a getting a door slammed in her face (again), Albinka sighed and took a swig from her canteen. For a person such as her, social interaction was very tiring, especially negative ones. Being on the battlefield was an exception to this rule, of course.

As she took a drink from her canteen, she saw a group of three people acting suspiciously in the centre of town. People in this town simply didn’t leave their houses unless strictly necessary and when they did they wouldn’t linger, nobody wanted to become the next victim of abduction.

“Hello friends,” Albinka shouted to the group “What are you doing out at this time?” The three men were startled, so they did not instantly react as the giant of a woman walked over to them…

I've gotten almost no orders and only NC has written anything worthwhile in thread. If nothing happens by Monday I'm calling this a failed experiment.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy now that uni has started back up and will be happy to write orders, though I can't seem to find my stats.

Huh. Legitimately my fault. I'll try and get them up tonight.

Sorry that I forgot to send orders, I will immediatly rectify this.

Gethaint sat at the small table he kept in a back corner of the workshop to deal with the tedious bookeeping that came with owning the business. His eyes pored over the columns of figures as he tried to wrestle the numbers into a sum that would make what he had in mind possible.
Suddenly it all snapped into place and he scribbled a couple of notes to delay a couple of purchases and prioritise a few high value commissions. Reaching into a lower drawer he pulled out a sheet of heavy parchment and penned a short note in his best script, signed it and applied a seal in green wax. Then he stood and bellowed to be heard above the clanging of hammers.
"Daris. Daris! Come here please!"
A young dwarf ambled over, pulling off his leather gauntlets as he came.
"Yes, boss?" he replied in the curt manner of dwarfs.
"Daris, I need you to take this drawing letter to Merviggio's strong-house for validation against my account." Gethaint passed Daris the letter. The dwarf glanced at the letter, did a double take then stared at it so hard his eyes almost popped out.
"Gods, Gethaint," he exclaimed, propriety forgotten, "what do you intend to do with that kind of coin?"
"That's the second part of what I need you to do, Daris. Once the letter is validated with Merviggio's seal and your signature I need you to take a carriage to Traconia and purchase one of those automata. It will be invaluable for my research and can earn it's price by performing basic forging tasks." Gethaint explained patiently.
"Hold on, what about the lads. You're not planning on replacing any of us?" Daris voice took on an almost challenging note.
"Of course not, you're all practically family. No, it will be used strictly to forge blanks, we'll train those currently on that task to do more advanced forge work but no one will be laid off. You have my word on it. If all goes well we may have to bring some extra hands in."
"Alright, I'll do it then." said Daris, sounding somewhat molified.
"Excellent, thank you, Daris." replied Gethaint, turning back to the books.

if you still want to play a fantasy game (albeit dark fantasy) check this thing out: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=545143

While I call it an AC, it'll probably more along the lines of a shoddy excuse for an rpg campaign. If you're into that stuff, I'd love to see you guys there.
