I installed Ryhe's newest terrain mod into civ3. With Alan H nice mod installer. However, some of the terrain like deep ocean has not been modified. Other random tiles seem not to be modified as well. Has anyone else noticed this? I didn't find anything in the Rhye's mod thread about it, but I might be missing something. Which lead me to believe this might be mac specific?

Is the terrain mod built for Civ3 1.29 or PTW/C3C? I use Snoopy's terrain mod for Civ3, but I manually placed each file. I would assume AlanH's installer would work fine if Ryhe's folders are named correctly. Brainstorming. You might better wait for Alan to arrive.

You should be able to find it here. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=69369 Hopefully I posted this right, if not it is under this weeks new Civ 3 downloads under graphics. Install: I first installed the two standard civ3 Ryhe terrain mods then his two v 1.3 updates. In order for me to install the v 1.3 updates, I had to zero out the mod installer. Then drop the civ 3 folder back in it again. Next drop the v 1.3 updates. It worked, but then I saw the holes in the terrain and the deep ocean....
thanks for the help. Hopefully the standard terrain mod is the one built for the 1.29 of civ3.

Hmm. Well, it isn't set up the way my mod installer requires. For this kind of mod - just graphics in the \Art folder - the Mod Installer needs the folder hierarchy to be:

Code:
Top level folder (any name will do)
        - Art
             - Files and Folders named as in the standard game

He hasn't even been consistent in the way he's packaged the four pieces of the mod.

I'll repackage it into a single zip file for you to apply in a single hit using the mod installer. Drop by later today.

I've put it all in a single file here, as it's too big to upload to the civfanatics site. It seems to work OK, though for me it suffers the same problem I have with Snoopy - technicolor water.

I dropped it into the installer, it worked fine as far as I could tell. No glitches and the terrain seems to look good. thanks AlanH, good civing to you.

I've posted a link to this file set in the original thread, in case anyone else wants to use it, or in case the originator objects to me publishing that version.
