Hey guys, I seem to have a strange assortment of problems, and am foolishly hoping they will be easy to solve. I am using most recent BtS, .41d FfH2, and having no other obvious problems with my rig or install at this time.

1. Researching Infernal Pact is not bringing Hyborem into the world. On the flip side, building the Mercurian Gate is not bringing Basium into the world. The "Compact Enforced" option is not on.

2. Playing as the Amurites, my Cave of Ancestors buildings aren't giving their bonus experience to arcane units.

3. Genesis isn't upgrading terrain.

I'm going to test a bunch of stuff in the coming days to see if anything else is broken; I'm too tired to do it tonight. Thanks everyone, your help is as always greatly appreciated!

It's possible that you have some game options that are "stuck" on. This usually happens when you play more than one mod, and when it happens those options can't be turned off in the normal way (they won't even appear on in the Custom Game Options section).

I suggest that you try clearing your game options, which you can do by starting a "PLAY NOW!" game: Load FfH2. At the main menu select "SINGLE PLAYER", then click "PLAY NOW!". Then click "OK >" until the map generation begins; which options you select are unimportant, you won't need to play this game. After the setup finishes and the game begins you can exit back to the main menu and play FfH2 games normally. (This won't fix any problem games that you have, however. It will only allow you to create new games without the problem.)

If that has fixed the problem then you should be able to create a new game and should not experience those problems. Note, however, that if you return to playing another mod then when you create your next game of FfH2 the problem may be back. In order to prevent the problem from returning you would want to make a habit of creating a "PLAY NOW!" game before creating a new FfH2 game whenever the last game you created was in another mod.

-------------

If creating a "PLAY NOW!" game to reset the game options doesn't fix the problem then maybe there was a problem with the installation of the mod. At that point I would suggest that you try redownloading and reinstalling the mod.

I was finding that even after doing play now games, nothing was being fixed. I went ahead and did a clean install, everything is working again. Thanks for the advice!
