Well, God gave us dominion over the animals. I've no issue with animal cloning, just issues with human cloning.

Yes, I know humans are animals. I'm sure you all know what I mean.

He also told us to go forth and multiply. We're barely doing that, unless you consider muliplying by 1.2 to be multiplying. With cloning, we can earnestly multiply! Hundreds of decendants from each person!

As well, the Saviour is to be born from a virgin, no? I'm pretty sure we can now produce a virgin birth in animals ... and Curt wants to clone himself ...

1) Curt may not be human, so that might be okay anyway. ;)
2) Even if we do manage a virgin birth in an animal, I'm not worshipping any immaculately conceived wombat!
3) We were also given, in addition to the command to multiply, the institutions of marriage in which to do such. So, cloning has to be limited to animals.

It's a marriage of high-technology and faith! The Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life.

Anyway, I'll be sure to be married before I Immaculately Conceive the Saviour. Don't worry.

We can hold dominion over something while still being a part of it. That just means that we're the rulers of ourselves.
