Absolution 4: Tabula Rasa

To Zull

We have needlessly fulfilled every ing single term, cultist shaman. Osborn has renounced his Inquisitor Status not that it changed anything, keeping his Comissar rank. We have already rebuilt the stone temple you idiots.
No more Inquisitors will walk in Zull as long as this peace stands as if they want to walk in your corrupted lands not paved with gold.

Prove yourself that you are not the lying bastard we hope you are not but we are sure that you are, and tell them to ing retreat As if we can't do it ourselves as per our agreement and never return, on the threat of thermosolar warfare.

OOC: Come'n Eltain!

To: Satura, Land of the Sun, Zulappi
From: High General Stonesong of Cyria, granted to speak on the behalf of the Kurdish People

We did not ask the permission of Zulappi to initiate this conflict. If they wish to intercede and promote peace then we will take that very seriously, and we will meet at the table to negotiate an end to this conflict.

But the idea that we will turn back and retreat is preposterous.

OOC: @Terrance: Please greatly reduce the number of exclamation points in the preceding post.

To: Satura
From: Cyria

That sure is ambitious. My people train for war every day, the Kurds sup on battle while Saturans eat decadent meals that expand their circumference and burden their lazy horses.

Streets of Gold are nice, but they do not train a man for battle.

To Cyria
From Satura from Osborn

I have half a mind to abandon all strategy and simply hurl this fist made of 15 swordsmen living off militaristic tales at you...

Ah well, there is no need to exert myself for such a petty conflict. A small expeditionary force shall do. Maybe I might mobilize .000002% of my funds to push you back to the border.

Or maybe I will decide that I will stop being a victim of clumsy assassinations, track their master down, and teach him how a real master works. I mean, you can tell they're coming a mile away! (throws a knife, it floats over two roofs to land into an assassin with a bow) Whoever is sending them is testing my patience.

Wow, if that is the smartest comeback you can think of, I would need to dumb down my tactics just so you can understand your doom, instead of looking onward and going "Whaaa?" as your armies are crushed.

I need to be careful, or else I might rip an entire section of Aset's Prison into the atmosphere by the sheer might of my awesomeness.

OOC: Of course, he will tone me down for the update, but let me have my fun!

To Kush
From Octavian

We hear you have Sitars. We have Ale or Stonecraft available for exchange. You interested?

To Persia, High Priest Koreandre II
From Orlando, Inquisitor-Captain of Mongolia, Ordered by Octavian

Due to our friendship, we would like to offer the sale of the knowledge of Iron for 3EP and the sale of the knowledge of Cartography for 2 EP. If you accept, we are amiable to export Stonecraft to you instead of Akten's Ale instead of severing that trade connection entirely.

To Punt, King Kong III
From Octavian of Satura

You had Iron. You witnessed the fight, and you saw Kush ally with the Heavenly Dragon at a high price. When Kush told me he was outbid, I thought that you, through your friendship with them, gave them Iron.

Seeing that this seemed to not be the case, I would ask of your relationship with Kush.

I would also like to expand the relationship between us. Please view the social group for this.

If you have a Commercial Vassal, but you take the trade goods and trade it instead, does their modifier count?

If you trade a good for a vassal, where does a trade-good modifying wonder's modifier go?

Malach arrived at Punt without too much trouble. Malachite Marvels has grown tremendously over the past few years, eventually buying ownership of Aureas' Forges in Napata and even the Throne of Napata itself, although he mostly use it as a flourish to sign agreements with. King Malach sounds so much more awesome than Sheepherd Malach (and a long PS talking about him discovering everything form Koughphee to Lead).

Octavian was waiting at the port. Malach waited for a long time to meet what most consider the true ruler of Satura, and now that he saw the aging, if still fit, robed man he gave his best impression; a bright smile flashed from his young face and his silver crown glinted in the sunlight as he moved towards the Prime Citizen.

"Octavian, I've waited so long to see you!" he spoke, "I am Malach the Mage, King of Sudan, your vassal, at your service." He took the hand of the Inquisitor-General and shook it.

Octavian shuddered slightly at his touch; his strict demand for the purity of the body (presumably means no contact with any other) was well known. But he accepted the handshake and noded, with a small forced smile. He had stayed many years in Punt, and he looked tanner, and more bearded than his portraits back at Satura- most prominently was a large scar running up the side of his face.

"I, Octavian the Prime Citizen of Satura, do accept the new King of Sudan... err... Nubia" he spoke. "Come, there is someone I want you to meet."

We will be unable to take you up on your offer as our resources are now fully committed.

To: Satura
From: Punt

Thank you for taking care of that.

From Octavian, the Prime Citizen of Satura
To Consul Scrappy of Kush
CC: Empire of the Heavenly Dragon

We are glad to announce that peace will be preserved in the Puntic Sea. Kush and Satura as agreed to a 5-turn (about 50 years?) non-aggression pact. May peace to conductive to trade and security both.

From Malach the Mage, King of Nubia
To King Kong III of Punt

Your welcome, and thank you for introducing me to Sheeba. I will take her on a tour of Nubia. It will be fun!

From Octavian, the Prime Citizen
Now that the past has buried its hatchet, we wish to talk of the future.

To the Empire of the Heavenly Dragon
From Orlando, Inqusitor-Captain of Mongolia

We desire no conflict between our great nations, whether at Mongolia or in the Puntic Sea or Persia. Let us sign a 5-turn (50-years?) defensive pact between us, and thus agree that our soldiers will in all circumstances try to NOT fight and cause an unwanted war.
Unless you want war, but hey, I can't do anything about that.

From Osborn, Comissar of the Levant
To Cyria and Kurdia

Zull and I have agreed to peace between our two great nations in mourning of their shaman. May he find peace in death as well (as likely as an Aset-Cultist can). Perhaps you should also honor this great death in the faith by ending the war in good faith so that we can all mourn the death of this great leader. *thunk* Especially without assassinations interrupting the burial.

From Octavian, the Prime Citizen of Satura
To Zull

These are my public condolences for the death of your Shaman. He was a great man (not doing so hot in the realm of ideas, however) and will be remembered as a great leader. We shall have peace in our time.

Orders postponed, I am rethinking some stuff and changing plans. The armies of the Shang shall do what they want, and they shall remain as they are, as they grow larger.

To: The Empire of the Heavenly Dragon
From: The Khanate

Pardon me? This Inquisitor fellow who asked me to send my wise men and soldiers to the West? I mean, he is certainly granted the authority to administer to the faith of my people, but at the same time I do not follow his advice very closely.

There is something my Ancestors were fond of saying, something like "Mind your own business." Does that ring a bell?

To: The Inquisitor General of Mongolia
From: The Khan

Please do not presume to send diplomacy with my letterhead. Since you are an ignorant foreigner we will let it pass this time, but the penalty for sending messages with the Khan's letterhead is to be drawn and quartered.
