Absurd Number of Iron

I just popped out of a game I started - continents on Prince with 12 players. Right now I have access to 268 Iron, 2 horses and assorted other luxuries. Does anyone know how my iron levels became so huge?

This is common with horses as well, since I'll trade excess for gold, luxuries, etc. One thing I did notice is that after a deal expires for say, iron, the notification pops up repeatedly - eg: "Iron to Hiawatha has ended" - over a period of 3-5 turns or so.

Maybe the game keeps stacking my resources? It's a bit moronic, especially since I can just trade 100 iron or what have you and cripple someone's economy. I hope they start patching more things up.

I've got a bit over 1000 horses in my current game IIRC, it keeps cancelling several horse deals every turn.

Heh, don't say "absurd" that easily

That's most definitely a bug. I'm used to something like 12 iron. What's the map size? How many deposits do you have?

Hahahaha! That's what I'm talking about exactly. I've only got 3 deposits: two are 6 and a third is 2 (in resource amount) and map size is large.

It's just another :):):):):):):):) glitch, I'm sure. Ugh ugh ugh, can't believe how unfinished this game is.

I had a similar problem in my last game. A trade agreement kept expiring turn after turn, giving me more and more iron. Obviously a bug.

Dude, they need to nerf England's UA. Getting +2 movement on ships and embarked units ALONG WITH providing you with 2000 extra iron is totally imba!

Its a bug with the never ending treaty fix, I had the same thing with horses. The deal ends every turn, then you get the "refund" every single thus creating unlimmited copies of a nonexisting resource.

Are you trading the strategic resources for gold per turn? The problem seems to be that while the resources are traded for only 20 turns, the gold is traded for 30, and so for the 10 turns in between the deal "expires" each turn and you are credited the number of resources that were involved in the trade. Meanwhile, you keep getting the gold too - not a bad deal

Lucky it isn't the other way around so you'd have negative horses... ;) I haven't encountered this one myself, though a peace treaty kept expiring for 10 or something turns (then the AI was dead so I can't say if it would've continued). I don't know if I still got the 5 gold per turn I had in the treaty or not, I really didn't notice.

My teammate got this bug with the negative in the game we played tonight. He's running at around -20 horses right now.
