I don't understand the Force I spell, accelerate.

Applied promotions last for 1 turn(s)

What is this supposed to mean?

I taught it to an adept, but It's not castable. Probably requires some specific situation?

IIRC it is a haste for mechanical units.

There is a python error with the spell which is fixed in the next patch. That is why it doesn't work right now.

The duration means that the promotion will last forever normally (if acquired somehow other than through the spell), which doesn't matter in this case since you can ONLY gain the promotion through this spell. But it also means that as long as there is a caster in the stack capable of casting this spell the promotion will remain on your units. The duration only counts down when no such caster is around at the start of the turn (just like how temporary buildings work, except in some cases we might specify that a promotion can last a fwe turns without the caster having to be present)

Accelerate. basically what he's saying is that the spell works like haste. cast it, every unit in the tile gets "accelerate" promotion. the promotion will last as long as there's a caster capable of casting accelerate in the tile.

Accelerated. Mostly like Haste, but targeted at siege/golems.
