Access Denied

Yesterday, I became unable to start BTS. I get a message "Access Denied"..."Please login with administrator privileges and try again." My sign on does have administrator privileges. I have not made any other changes, except a windows update happened.

Any ideas?

The problem seems to be related to a media protection driver (Securom/Safedisc) which has been removed from the windows 10 bundle. Why Win 7 users just HAD to have the Win 10 update only Microsoft knows for sure. In any case, Civ IV fails to launch because of this.
