ADA Day

Wow! You know, I hadn't thought about restrooms much. Most of the folks who called us were more concerned with people being able to get in the front door of the business. As for restrooms, most of those places had very small restrooms and I didn't think that it would be cost effective to do any extensive remodeling. Most often, the doors, though not regulation width, were wide enough for a wheelchair to get through. I'd tell them to install a grab bar by the commode, which is quite inexpensive. It didn't make sense to do much more unless you had a huge restroom and lots of money.
Gosh, I never thought that businesses would simply close their restrooms to the public. That's deep.
