Honestly people. They've been building this game for how long now? And they've released how many great Civ style games at this point? Sure, maybe you won't have a billion cities across the map right away. But I'm sure Sid and his designers took the time to work out how to make the game fun.

I don't need that many, just about 200 over to 300 cities will do!

doom and gloom doom and gloom. What purpose does insulting the game in development have. If you really are attempting to inspire the developers to expand the game in the direction you would like to see it go in heres a suggestion... Read the book How to Win Friends and Influance People take your arguement beyond the realm of sophmoric name calling, develop a rational and at least seemingly unbiased arguement (maybe create a poll and submit it to firaxis) and push for change in a positive way. By the way you have no idea whether you will like less cities and your working under the assumption that it pleased you in civ 3 and if it isn't in Civ 4 your head will combust into flame.

You guys seem to think bigger is better for some reason, are you compensating for something? Are you having a mid-life crisis? I suppose all of you own little red sports cars too.

So that's how you say it in the US? That's funny, 'cause in Europe (at least Sweden), the same phenonema is discribed by saying something along the line of "I suppose all of you own SUV's too". Replace "SUV" with "Hummer", if the, ehm... "size-problem", is REALLY bad.

You are wasting my time. Now I know you have never played Civ3 huge map (probably Civ3 itself at all)...

I have never intended to make friend with Firaxis people. I only want them to gear the game development direction to the right/bright side and be brave to show the ugly part of the game (I mean Civ4), say diplomacy screen, trade, how the game is going to balance itself in huge map and so on and so on...

Ya, you have to raze every enemy city you have conquered otherwise you have to face bankruptcy. Especial when you play for conquer only victory, what a cute game.
