Additional Civilizations (by DJSHenninger)

That's a really enticing list - regardless of how short it is. I find it strange that a Matthias Corvinus civ hasn't been made by anyone yet, so that is certainly worth getting hyped for.

Out of interest - given your plan for focussing on Leaderscreens for now, does that mean the Wallachia update is still a way off? The design looked really cool when you posted it here last time.

rom what I can tell, Leugi's Argentina was already quite far in development, at least from an art perspective
I think he means the update to Perón's Argentina, which would still include new art anyway. The other one with San Martín was going to be called River Plate.

It still requires some minor edits and I need to test the decisions, as well as make sure Wallachia is not too powerful; so far they don't seem to be super powerful, although the UI makes them quite strong growth and production-wise. Trait isn't really useful until the medieval era. I also need to make sure the trait functions properly (the free city-state quests).

Oh, I didn't know about an update for Argentina, so I assumed Rio de la Plata was the one referred to.

Aye, Darth was right - although AFAIK the Argentinian update was intended to come alongside San Martin's release (with a Third Argentina being discussed - though I doubt this is actually happening).

Good news in regards to Wallachia anyways - looking forward to it!

Small Taiwan update:
- Small art changes
- Expanded mod support (Decisions)
- Expanded diplo text, optimized gametext etc.

AND.. well, nothing. Wallachia's getting a bit closer. Still need to test E&D properly.. I think the rest works, but something's funny with the trait.. not sure if it fires when the AI proposes a deal (and you accept) while processing the AI's turns.

Georgia update:
- More diplo lines
- TXT_KEY optimization
- Lua optimization
- More mod support (E&D; and some other mods :crazyeye:)
- Some new art (leader icon; map image)
- No longer supports GK only

Oh, amazing re-release.

What's the name of that UA again though?

I actually changed the name. The former name was 'The Glory of Iveria', which was some kind of important religious painting. This new trait name is the name of the medieval georgian feudal system. I figured it was more suitable. Also had trouble finding any unique name related to Tamar.

Love the new map and 'grats on the release. :D However, your insistence on remaining in control in the Caucasus is troubling. :p And I probably still win the award for Least Pronounceable UA Name, with Qaujimajatuqangit.

Thanks :P However, complete authoritarian control over the Caucasus is my divine right!

And yes, that reward is definitely still yours!

Some time ago I suggested using the fire in Azerbaijan's emblem as a new civ icon when it is updated, but now that I think about it, it would probably be better to use this:

By the way, while we're at that, I also recommend changing the civ colors to use the actual values used in the icon (61, 160, 189 for background and 255, 38, 38 for symbol) instead of the current ones. Would feel more unique and look better overall.

I think I meant to respond to you and somehow thought I already had  A lot of colours don't quite match, so yeah, it's something that I will be done for other civs as well.

Wallachia released:
Mircea I was the grandfather of Vlad III, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Mircea I was known for his many talents; his diplomatic and military skills in particular. Being surrounded by multiple great powers, including Hungary, Poland and the Ottoman Empire, the Voivode of Wallachia's first choice of resolving conflicts was through diplomacy. Thus, he successfully signed treaties with Hungary and Poland, granting their merchants special privileges. This would prove to be a wise move, as diplomacy with the Ottomans failed. The riches Mircea gained through trading allowed him to field a greater army, defeating the Ottomans numerous times, halting their expansion. Today, some Romanian historians refer to him as Mircea the Great.

OOOOOH BOOIIIII

Pretty awesome art and designs.

Looks fantastic! I look forward to playing this (that archer looks terribly fun to play with).

Really nice update, I'm about halfway through a game with Mircea at the moment (hopefully I'll be able to finish it) and it's been really fun thus far - especially as I tend to go for Patronage and focus on managing City States anyways. Looking forward to the Albanian update and whatever is to follow that.

I just also wanted to ask if anyone has noticed the second part of the Salt Mine decision working. I've built about seven mines since enacting it and I've yet to discover an additional source of salt. It's probably just luck but I'd assume I would have found at least one by now.

EDIT: Must have been bad luck, I just managed to get a source of Salt. Unfortunately however this was when using a mine to improve a source of Sulphur (added in ExCE), so it appears that Salt Mines generated by the decision can remove other resources.

Thanks :D

Pretty insightful UA! This might just been me, but is making something like that requires very extensive modding? If so, then wow!

Thank you!

Well, if I can do it.. :p It's not very extensive; the code counts the number of deals (agreements etc.) every turn, and saves it using SaveUtils. Then the next turn that saved number is compared with the new number of deals; if it changes, the code fires (if more than one deal was made in a turn; it'll fire more than once). But it is indeed one of my more complicated codes, though not as close as some other complicated codes. The logic is pretty easy to understand.

Great, thanks :)

Oh weird, I actually thought I made sure no resources were removed. I think I thought about it, but never actually added such a check :mischief: I'll change that in a quick update soon.
