The best advice I can give is to allow swearing and porn. It's a good way to counteract the sanitised nature of most fora out there.

Does that mean if we go to your forum and start posting porn it will be okay?

Now I'm confused as I've visited the site before and I've seen swearing but no porn...

Since we're not all pervs we tend not to feel the need to post lots of porn, although there have been a few naked pics, and I certainly wouldn't complain at a few more. Censoring pictures of naked people implies that there is something wrong with the human body, and is a terrible part of modern society.

Swearing is part of my vocabulary, and I have deep concerns over censorship of swearwords. After all, the intent is much more important than the delivery.

I was just suprised since the site centres around PBEMs and I had never seen the issue come up at all. I have nothing against swearing as long as its not every other word or overused in general.

Discussions of policies of other sites aren't appropriate here, and discussion of pornography standards certainly aren't!

The discussion has probably run its course anyway and I feel it was a valid discussion of how rules boundaries change on different forums.
