Did you get the vicinity bonus stuff working? IE just the basics, the stuff modders could then mod on.

Nope. I'm at a complete loss for why it causes issues, but apparently, it does. No one was ever able to help me...

I just moved onward and forward...
 
I just tried it out and I get a C++ runtime error.:cry: I guess I will have to wait for 2.8 as I can't stand playing without your modmod.:clap::hatsoff:

I wondered if it would work or not. I guess I changed too much stuff in the SDK for compatibility. Well, 2.8 should come out eventually...
 
I tried starting a new game and it starts up.:D I do get this message though.

can you change the tech screen a bit? the new colors zap uses are so indistinguishable that i cant tell what techs i know and what techs i need to know. the old blue green combo works better than the very light/light green combo.
oh an btw my new 2.8beta game is still alive so far.

I know that Gregac made a modmod that did that. Look around on the forums, I'm sure you can find it.
 
Afforess, I am playing with the Dll you pointed out to me and it seems to be working out fine.:king: I just have these text errors and was wondering if there are caused by just updating the Dll file. These should not in the full beta for 2.8 right?

Yeah, you're missing some txt_key files that are installed by my Beta5 installer. It's because of the new DLL.

I figured that. Do you know if it would be safe to use the missing files for 2.71?
 
I tried using the txt_key files from the Beta5 installer, but I just get a BUG mod can't find file error. Can you tell me what the txt_keys on the leader tool tip means?

The TXT keys for the leaders are from this modcomp, so you should be able to download it and steal the text files from the XML folder.
 
Here is an addtional thing I was wondering about just using the DLL. The combat odds are messed up. In the screen shot I older dll on top and the new one below. For some reason it does not show both units strangth. Is this because I am missing files?

I downloaded the modcomp and "stole" the file and it works!

I think that's because RevDCM and BULL both had different ways of displaying combat odds, and Jdog5000 opted to go with BULL implementation, so combat odds are now controlled by the BUG control panel. Try turning up the detail their. But ignore the RevDCM tab in the BUG control panel, it doesn't work.

All very confusing, I know...
 
Are the Artic buildings included in your modpack?

They are already made and 100% ready to go, but not included in any current version. They will be released with v1.4

I wondered how long it would take someone to notice I already made a page for them.;)

I see ;) Another question; Why is mountaineering a medieval tech instead of a classical tech? Hannibal crossed the Alps as did the Romans otherwise the Romans short sailing would be stuck in Italy. :)

No real reason. Is there a spot that you would like? I'm thinking after construction.
