Afforess's Modmods

And question - can i config the all of the modmods so i can choose which ones are turned on and which not ? Like from *.ini of menu options ?

The installer package lets you choose which components you want to install, and which you do not.

As supercheese said, you pick and choose when you install. Normally, I don't recommend users fiddle with them much, unless they know what they are doing. However, if you want to change the modmod's you play with without reinstalling, install once with all options turned on, then, go into the Rise of Mankind\Assets\Modules\Afforess and open the MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls.xml file. You should see a listing of all the folders in the Afforess directory, followed by a <bLoad>1</bLoad>. Simply change that 1 to a 0, and the folder will no longer load.

Could you be more specific about the problem?

That happens when you are missing a required file. Did you try to install the patch without installing the main modmod first? You have to install v1.40 before you can install the 1.41 patch.

ye
I have installed both 1.40 and then patched to 1.41

Could you double check? Look in your Rise of Mankind/Assets/Modules and see if there is a folder there labeled "Afforess". If there is , then the problem is different. If not, you need to reinstall 1.40.

ye its there
I just did a fresh install on everything and still same problem
ow + RoM still loads and runs after the error but it doen't load any of your modmods

What version of BTS do you have? Are you using the expansion, Civ Complete, or the Steam copy?

civ iv complete, using civ iv bts part with it version 3.19
i did wonder if that would make a difference
I have never encountered problems with mods before

Are you sure you have the mods in the right spot then? My installer defaults to the BTS mods folder, not Civ Complete Folder. Did you change where it installed to for your computer?

ye i have to change where it is installed into, because civ iv complete
folder directories are different but even so all i do is install into the bts/mod/rom folder
isn't it?

I think so, but I don't have complete edition, so I can't confirm. That's where you normally put RoM, right?

I've got an idea, try installing my beta version. It has new warnings on the installer if you are installing it in the wrong folder. That should help me figure out if there is actual problem or not.

I have Civ 4 Complete and I install into
C:\Spil\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rise of Mankind
It works fine.

Can an installer check what Leaderheads I have and install Realistic Diplomacy files accordingly? It turned out that when I installed Zappara's leaderheads over the clean RoM, I forgot to put in RD files for these new LHs.
