P.S. This is my first PBEM and I'm enjoying very much, certainly compared to AI games. Do you guys with the high post counts know each other from other PBEM games?

I wanted to add something here about this, in case you were thinking about it, we are not a team or anything against others we don't play in other games with. In one game a player is an enemy and in another he might be an ally , it is based on the game not the player.

Now why would the French have so many troops in Europe if they didn't plan to wage war there. We believe they have always coveted Spanish lands. Your all jealous of our great empire but we will resist your evil intentions, God is on our side.

Well, speaking for the Portuguese, we built up a number of defensive units after you a) dodged agreement to the European peace treaty and b) posted a screenshot of your military advisor commenting on the 'weak' Portuguese military.

And of course this was justified following the unprovoked attacks....

We just built troops to protect us from Holland.

Then... as i said, France and Portugal have linked good relationship, with agreement to defend ourselves in case of an attack.

By the way, i've learned that in a game with human, you'd better prepare for war !
I can't stand suffering from a non desired/planed war.

And finaly, taking into account that you are very agressive, we better have to weaken you... Spain has the biggest potential in this game (i have won a pebm once with that civ).
