I saw that coming, so I did not have a MPP with Rome anymore for some turns before you atacked! I thought that was the reason you decided to go for Rome...
The AI's never got to much galley's... I guess the capitals should have been sited near the inner sea to have the AI build galley's in there. I had one Galleon sail the inner sea to check if there was some sort of (resourcefull ) island.
Nice map indeed. During the exploration turns I was a bit confused about the map.

nothern front
Egyptian forces, about 25 attillery groups protected by infantry and cavalry, have exposed themself in a forward fortified position. Persian commanders have succeeded in cutting them off from their main supply lines. The route was cut off by a medium size battlegroup which was destroyed in the proces.
southern front
The southern front is still very quiet. Soon this will change as Persian commanders are planning an attack on Egyptain forward units. When and where is only known by President ERIKK himself!
From our embedded reporter with the 4th armoured division, coalition forces
before
The trapped Egyptian forces are trying to reach the beaches of Duinkerken Is there a fleet waiting for them to evacuete them from their doom??? Armoured columns of the Persian have been dipatched to intercept!
after
After a fierce battle the Egyptian troops were defeated. Thanks to their attillery support it was hard battle for the Persian tanks!
sum up
Now that the Egyptians have lost their attillery, they will be without any offesive power for a while. The battle for the nothern bottleneck has just started and compared to the Egyptian losses (apart from their lost attillery) the Persian casualties were low.
ERIKK's military build-up was just scary. Added to that, I lost 32 arty to him in a stupid move. ERIKK built 18 tanks in 2 turns. Tsat would take me another 5 turns. This and the fact that ERIKK outresearched me led me to decide to ..... to ..... to give up
